Organizational members can be divided into two categories: operatives and managers. Operatives are people who work directly on a job and have no responsibility for overseeing the work of others. Managers direct the activities of other people in the organization.2. As an old saying goes “not a radius of no rules” in china. The actions of managers affect the other employees and promote the organizations success. 3. Management has four functions: planning, organizing, leading and controlling. All of the four functions are played by managers. Any point has mistakes, the work cannot go on smoothly, and then the organization will not achieve its goals.4. managers need four skills: conceptual skills, Interpersonal skills, technical skills, political skills, Conceptual skills can help managers make good decisions which can run a company well. Interpersonal skills are how people can communicate with others well. In a business, managers need to talk to other company to get a contract. So this skill is very important. All managers need technical skills. Work tasks always need job-specific knowledge and techniques. If a company only have conceptual skills staff members, the company will bankrupt very soon. “practice makes perfect”.
