Inthethirdplace,theevidencethattheauthorprovidesisinsufficienttosupporttheconclusiondrawnfromit.Oneexampleisrarelysufficienttoestablishageneralconclusion.UnlessthearguercanshowthatA1isrepresentativeofallA,theconclusionthatBiscompletelyunwarranted.Infact,infaceofsuchlimited evidence,itisfallacioustodrawanyconclusionatall.Inthefourthplace,theargumenthasalsocommittedafalseanalogyfallacy.TheargumentrestsontheassumptionthatAisanalogoustoBinallrespects,andtheauthorassumeswithoutjustificationthatallthingsareequal,andthatthebackgroundconditionshaveremainedthesameatdifferenttimesoratdifferentlocations.Thereis,however,noguaranteethatthisisthecase.Nordoestheauthorciteanyevidencetosupportthisassumption.Lackingthisassumption,theconclusionthatisentirelyunfounded.Infact,it ishighlydoubtfulthatthefactsdrawnfromBareapplicabletoA.DifferencesbetweenAandBclearlyoutweightthesimilarities,thusmakingtheanalogyhighlylessthanvalid.Forexample,A.,however,B.Thus,itislikelymuchmoredifficultforBtodo.Inaddition,theconclusionunjustifiablyreliesonthepollwhilethevalidityofthesurveyitselfisdoubtful.Thepollcitedbytheauthoristoovaguetobeinformative.Theclaimdoesnotindicatewho,when,howandbywhomthesurveyisconducted,neitherdoesitmentionwhatisthesamplesize,orhowthesamplesareselected.Untilthesequestionsareansweredtheresultsareworthlessasevidencetosupportthat. Becausetheevidencecitedintheanalysisdoesnotlendstrongsupporttowhatthearguerclaims.Tostrengthentheargument,thearguermustconvinceusthat.Inaddition,thearguercouldhaveto providemorepreciseinformationtosupporthisclaim.Itisentirelypossiblethatmanagementhasbecomelaxregardinganynumberoffactorsthatcanaffectthebottomlinesuchasinferiorproducts,carelessproductpricing,inefficientproduction,pooremployeeexpensemonitoring,ineffectiveadvertising,sloppybuyingpoliciesandotherwastefulspending.还要补充的是,第一:模板的重要性是不言而喻的。要想在考试的半个小时内写出500 字以上的作文,没有一套成竹在胸的模板,几乎没有可能性。我估计写了 550-600字的样子。 第二:要活用模板。不要一字不便的照般每人的模板,其原因已有前人郑重指出。最好结合自己的习惯和自己总结的范文,创作一份自己的东西。第三:一般而言,考试前一个星期定下模板套路即可。然后在考前的每一天一定要写issue,argument各一篇。一定在规定的30分钟内写完,培 养自己在有限的时间内写作文的感觉。第四:考试前两天摸考一次。紧张起来,就当是正式考试一样,这样才能在考试时自然流露。不能指望能在考试时超水平发挥,尤其是作文。没有大赛前的模拟,考试时绝对乱阵脚,脑子里一片空白。第五:模拟时养成良好习惯。我一般说来花1分钟读题,2-3分钟快速用 铅笔在草稿纸上列一下要写的3个要点。然后最后花3分钟左右的时间 Review。顺便说一下,列要点极其Review非常
