arrangements which can accommodate high loads and shock loads without problems The bearings can accommodate very high axial loads in one direction but no radial loads They have no self aligning capability Cylindrical roller thrust bearings can be separated in thrust cylindrical roller and cage assembly shaft washer and housing washer Standards Cylindrical roller thrust bearingsDIN 722 Basic Design FAG cylindrical roller thrust bearings of series 811 and 812 consist of a thrust cylindrical roller and cage assembly the shaft washer and the hous ing washer The most vital component of the bearing is the thrust cylindrical roller and cage assembly The modified line contact eliminates edge stresses at the roller ends 811 812 Tolerances Running tolerances form and dimensional toler ances of the cylindrical roller thrust bearings cor respond to the normal tolerances of thrust bear ings page 70 Cages Cylindrical roller thrust bearings have moulded cages of glass fibre reinforced polyamide 66 TVPB TVPB1 machined cages of light metal LPB or brass MB MPB The cage is guided on the shaft Cages of glass fibre reinforced polyamide 66 can be used at steady state temperatures of up to 120 C If the bearings are lubricated with oil any additives contained in the oil may reduce the cage service life Also aged oil may reduce the cage life at higher temperatures therefore the oil change
