Did you hear that?“Our life is too fast, we should have patience and slow down our paces.” While we are trying to omit this voice from our minds, maybe we have to be a little more patient and listen what is going to be said.Nowadays, the pace of life is increasing with technological advancements, people want to finish everything as soon as possible. It seems that patience, which is regarded as a precious quality, has been lost in our daily lives. Unhealthy fast food becomes more and more popular among people for they have no patience to spend couple of hours preparing a meal. Jumping the queue becomes more and more common when people wait to get on the buses, for they have no patience to let others get on earlier and sit comfortably. And traffic accidents happen more and more for people have no patience to drive slowly, let alone waiting until other cars cross the road. People no longer have patience to wait for better results as long as they can get what they want immediately. However, patience is indeed critical in everyones life so we cannot afford to lose it any more.If sellers lost patience, they would not introduce their merchandise carefully, then customers couldnt know the goods and buy what they need. If gardeners lost patience, they would not trim dead leaves off plants or remember to water the garden everyday, then we couldnt appreciate beautiful flowers and smell fragrance of them. If cooks lost patience, they would not spend whole days standing in front of the stoves, then we couldnt eat delicious and nutritive food. If teachers lost patience, they would not repeat the explanations again and again then students who learn things slower couldnt understand and would become upset or even give up.As a student, patience is especially important. I remembered I lost patience when I was at high school, preparing for the college entrance examination. I didnt finish what I had planned to do, and I became so annoyed and even shouted to my mother. As I couldnt focus on study without patience, I became very anxious, at the same time I felt really sorry to my mother. Under all this pressure I got bad marks on one exam. When I came back home, disappointed and sad, my mother just said, “Be patient. You can do it.” Strange enough, with these words, I was able to calm myself down, and overcame the difficulties one by one. After that, I keep her words in my heart and always tell myself, “Be patient. I can do it.”Patience is bitter, but the fruit of patience is sweet. If we get through the period in which we need our patience, we could taste happiness of success. And we lose patience, because impetuosity becomes a social morale and people are always in a hurry.
