But my teacher told me that I was_(be) able to learn Spanish well.5. “Fast” and “quick” have the similar meaning_(mean).B 直接引语和间接引语1. 直接引语是陈述句变成用that引导的宾语从句。句中时态、人称、时间状语等要相应变化。(1) 时态变化:向前推一个时态。He said, “I came to help you.”He said that he had come to help me_.camehad come(2) 时间状语变化now- then today- that day tonight- that nightyesterday- the day before three days ago- three days beforenext month- the next month the day after tomorrow- in two days2.直接引语是疑问句(1)把一般疑问句变为间接引语时,要用连词if或whether引导。主句中的谓语动词为said时,要改为asked,语序用陈 述句的语序。She said to me, “Have you finished the work?”She asked me whether I had finished the work_.(2)引述特殊疑问句时,仍用原来的疑问词引导,语序用陈述句语序。He asked Tom, “What are you looking for?”He asked Tom what he was looking for.(3)引述选择疑问句时,变成whether引导的宾语从句。He asked me, “Do you want a pen or a bullpen?”He asked me whether I wanted a pen or a bullpen.3.直接引语是祈使句根据说话人语气变成ask/tell/order sb. (not) to do sth. 的结构She said to me, “Please sit down!”She asked me to sit downStep 3. Finish the exercises of Lesson 8.Step 4. Divide the students into several large groups. Challenge the students to work together to invent a game that can be played by teams of five students using five different spheres.
