Good morning everyone, I am very glad to stand here to share my teaching ideas with all the teachers who are present.Today I am going to talk about sectionA (1a-2c)in unit8”How was your school trip” from go for it, Grade8. I will show my arrangement of this lesson based on 12 aspects. It includes preparation, presentation, practice, correcting, remediation, testing, evaluation, checking, instruction, research, reflection and competence.First of all,let me show my first step -Preparation It is made up of five parts-the analysis of the teaching material,the analysis of the students,teaching goals, teaching importances and difficulties and teaching methods. the analysis of teaching material :At the beginning of it,let us talk about the status and function The topic of this unit is to talk about the events in the past. The main topic is moved around “How was your school trip”.Let the students talk about their travling places in the past.The students must have something interesting and different to say.Because it is closely related to their daily life. Ill finish this section in two periods. In this period, Ill teach 1a to 2c. Because the content in this part is a little scattered.I reintegrate them and put 1a,1c and 2c in one part which can help students learn the key vocabulary and sentence pattern. and 1b,2a,2b in one part which can give students listening, speaking and writing practice. These activities can help students improve their integrative skills.Then they learn to use the simple past time to ask and answer the dialogue like”Did you/he /she /they go /see /buy? And Were there any?”.At the same time make the students learn to talk and share the things that happened in the past. Grammar Focus shows all the target language in this unit. The target language is the basic for Students to learn the other contents of this unit. So its very important to learn this lesson well.According to the specific describing the whole English aims in “the standard of English curriculum” and consider the content in unit8.I divide the aim of this unit into five parts.They are: language knowledge, language skill, learning strategy, emotion and attitude, culture awareness.Next,I am going to talk about the teaching goals:1. Language knowledge:words: aquarium, gift, seal, shark,hang out,souvenir,octopus, autograph, win, prize,eat,won, ate, else. etcLanguage structure: Did you go to the zoo? Yes,I did./No, I didnt.Were there any seals? Yes, there were./No,there werent. I went to the aquarium. There were some sharks.2.Language skill:Listening: Be able to tell the differences of the intonation of different sentences and know the different meanings according to the different intonation.Speaking:Be able to make simple communication in the task activities like :games, survey and story etc.Reading:Be able to read the dialogue and sentences in this unit and look up the dictionary to prepare for finishing the task.Writing:Be able to write down the new words and sentences in this unit,write down the past activities and feeling by using the simple sentences.3.Learning strategy:Use every chance to communicate in English and pay attention to express the meaning.It is necessary to use body language and face expression.Take an active part in studying in a group.4.Emotion and attitude:Let the ss learn to respect and understand others ,exchange the ideas,know the othershobby and develop the friendship by describing the past things and expressing ones own feeling.5.culture awareness:Express the idea of praising yourself in the right way.Know the students life in England and America to understand the world.Teaching difficulties and importances:diffcultiesimportances1. Revise the words:some past forms of the verbs:was,were,did,bought,went,had and saw etc.2. Sentence pattern:How was your weekend? It was great.Where did you go on your vacation? I went to the beach.3.Learning words: aquarium, gift, seal, shark,hang out,souvenir,octopus, autograph, win, prize,eat,won, ate, else. 4. New sentence pattern:Did you go to the zoo? Yes, I did. No, I didnt. Were there any seals? Yes, there were. No, there werentI saw some sharps/ I went to the aquarium.What else did you do?1、一般过去时的规则动词和不规则动词。2、一般过去时的肯定句和否定句。引导的一般疑问句。The analysis of the students:The students in Grade8 have learnt English for more than a year.They have got some English knowledge and the ability of listening and speaking.They begin to learn reading and writing;At the same time,they still keep deep interest in English.Because of having got some ideas on how to learning English well,they have had the ability of self-study, co-operation, and research.On the other hand,the students in Grade Eight are interested in English,but unsteady.They have strong curiosity but are unsatisfied with the simple repeat.They can easily remember the knowledge by stimulating many times and short of some the abilities of summary and analysis for one-sided and odd things.So I pay much attention to some aspects as follows to lead them to improve English.I. Learn English by specific task.II. Learn new items by different activities such as chant, guessing and memary game.Next I want to talk about my Teaching methods:In this part,I mainly use task-based teaching methods with the Total Physical Response,(缩写为TPR) situational communication.Teaching aids:The multi-media will also be used to make the class lively and improve my teaching result.Next ,lets talk about presentation and practice. I will show them according to my teaching procedure.Now please look at my teaching arrangement. It includes the following steps: Step1.warming up(3”)Lets chant together:Clap clap, clap our hands.I say go , you say went.Go go go , went went went . Buy buy buy, bought, bought,bought . Take take take, took took took . Are are are , were were were .I say see ,you say saw.目的:采用TPR全身反应教学法,通过大幅度的动作尝试运动的好心情方式,完成动词的复习巩固。全方位的运动,全感官的参与使记忆更加顺畅。这样的活动能使学生在轻松活泼的气氛中学习和掌握知识(Purpose:Revise the irregular past forms of some verbs that is related to this lesson by chant and TRP can make the students get into studying state quickly. Lead-in the new lesson by the form that the students are delighted to see.In order to make a relaxing and happy atmosphere for the students and arouse the students curiosity to begin new lesson.)Step 2Pre-task(10” )1. Play a short vedio about the aquarium by using the multimedia,(2”)Then ask:Did you see any? Help the ss answer: Yes, I did. No, I didnt.Were there any? Help the ss answer: Yes, there were. No, there werent. At the same time showing the key words on the screen. 2.Presentation(2”)Meanwhile lead in the new words concerned with this period by using the multimedia.Ask them questions: Did you go to the beach/museum/zoo? Were there any dolphins/pandas/ lions? Etc.目的:由上一环节自然过渡到新课的学习,学生在不知不觉中感知新知识;多媒体采用形象生动的图片,保持学习新知识的兴趣。(Transit to the new lesson in nature ,the students appercive the new kknowledge and keep interest in learning new by pictures.)3.Pair work(4”)Then get Ss to talk something they did over the weekends or on their last school trip .Let Ss list 3 things at least they did in their last vacation or school trip.Ask Ss to make dialogues in pairs according to the sentence patterns in 1c. Get several pairs to act out their dialogues like this:Did you go to the beach/museum/zoo? Were there any dolphins/pandas/ lions? Etc.目的:通过pairwork让学生感知、操练语言,为下一步活动做好铺垫。(Let the students percept and pratice the language ,at the same time give a good beginning to the next activity.)4.Brainstorm(2”)Show what I did in my vacation by using the multimedia, show some irregular forms of the verbs and ask the students: Where did I go on my vacation? What did I do?How was my vacation? Etc.so that they can revise uses of the Past Tense learnt before.多媒体展示了同学们熟悉的活动,激发了学生表达过去活动的欲望。生活就是知识,对于他们熟悉的话题,学生总能大侃特侃,信心倍增。采用Brainstorm的教学方法并进行小竞赛,能使学生更积极地参与到课堂活动中。(Inspire the studensts to express the past by showing their familiar activities.Life is knowledge,For the familiar topic, the students always have something different to say and get more confidence.While let the studennts make a competition by “Braistorm” can have the students take much more active in class activities.)5.Memory challenge(2”)Show what Liu xiang did in his last school trip on the screen for 30 seconds. Then hold a competition, see which group can remind what they have seen most and correctly.Step3. While-task(21”)Task 1:Listening(2”)Play the tape of 1b twice for Ss to listen and follow. Then get them to circle What Tina did in last school trip. The purpose:Listening activity in this step whose aim is to let the students grasp the key words and cultivate the learing strategy of making notes while listening.l Task 2:Listening(5”) Let the Ss look at the picture in 2b and guest what they are talking about. Play the tape of 2a twice,ask Ss to tick the answers. Then play the tape a third time for them to check whether their answers are correct or not. Finally play the tape for Ss to listen and repeat.Then finish 2b and check the answers.If it is “F”,correct it.l Task 3:Jigsaw(3”)Disorder the listening passage in 1b and 2a by cutting it into single sentences. Put these sentences in an envolope and give them out to Ss of the divided groups. See which group can put them in the right order in the shortest time. Then get the whole class to finish the exercises in this part.。l Task 4:School trip survey(9”)1. Get Ss to make a survey about what they did in their school trip and fill in the form below:Name WherewhatHowWhen surveying, they can use the following sentence patterns: How was your school trip? Where did you go?Did you see any?Were there any?What else did you do?2. Get each group to send a representative to make a report after they finish the survey. 在任务环活动中,我通过设计不同的4个任务,充分利用教学资源,让学生在小组中交流、合作、竞争,每个任务都存在着一定的“信息差”,易于激发学生的表达欲望和急于知道最终结果的心情,在活动中他们一定会努力表现自己,做到最好。4个任务所侧重的训练学生的语言能力的要求也各有不同,他们分别侧重训练学生的听、说、读、写的能力。把任务活动放在小组中进行,还可以解决“大班”难于操练的难题,学生在小组中有更多的时间来运用英语表达自己的思想。During the task-based activities,I make the best of the teaching resourses and let the students communicate,co-operate and compete.Every activity has its own different information which easily inspire the desire of expresion and the mood that wants ti know the result.So they must try their best to project themselves and do the best.Four tasks have their own demands to train the students ability of language skill.They emphasize the ability of listening, speaking,reading and writing from the low level to high level.Put the task activities into the group can solve the diffculties of practicing in big class.At the same time the students also can have more time to express their ideas in English.Step4.Post-task(4”) Grammar Focus and exercises(4”)Go through the Grammar Focus with the whole class,ask Ss to point out the main points in this period. Then show the use of The Past Tense on the screen, especially the regular and irregular changes of verbs. 在学生尽情地参与活动后再让学生反思本节课的语法焦点,并进行适当的操练,对学生在任务活动中的语言失误进行纠正,使学生保持学习信心。Let the students rethink the grammar focus and do some relevant exercises after they are to the top of their bent to take part in every activity.In this way ,they can correct the mistakes during the tasks and make the students keep confident in learning English. Step5. summary(1”)After step4 Let the ss make conclosion on the past tense:the sign of the past tense,the regular and irrgular forms of verbs, how to change ordinary interrrogative sentence etc.Step6.Homework(1”)1. Circle Story: Let Ss make up a story in their groups, each student adds a sentence, then write down their stories in the exercise.(About 60 words)2. Searching information Give Ss some websites, such as/moive/grammar_mc.htm/BasicStudy/LearnColumn/EnglishOnline/ Let them find more information about the Past Tense.由于教材中Section A的知识点较零碎,整合有点难度,在一节课中要全部完成不大可能,因此我将最后一个环节“故事接龙”作为作业,将课堂小组活动延伸的课外。为学生提供网址,使学生充分利用学习资源。Because the knowledge in sectionA is scattered and its a little diffcult to integrate and finish the whole in forty-minute class.I treat the last step” Circle Story” as homework and make class activity extend to out of class.Afford them net address and make use of learing resourse.Now, let me show where I use correcting and remedition:During the pair work,some students cant master the usage of the past tense and make some mistakes.The students who are listening should pay attention to what the actors said.If there is something wrong, when it finished,help the actors correct them.Then they can repeat the patters in right way.Because the ss are not familiar with the irregular form of the verbs.They sometimes add “ed” to it, I always remind them of it.(用两个实录的片段来显示出来).Lets talk about my instuction:when the class practise in pairs and make a survey.I can walk around in the whole class and give them help at any time.Usually I can join the group that the students have troubles in talking in English and give them much more attention.Help them find the confidence in learning English.Speaking of testing and checking:Give the class some exercises about the past tense.After doing them,check the answers and make a conclusion on the past tense(the sign of it,how and when to use did and didnt etc).In this way,we can not only have the ss consolidate the knowledge,use it freely,but educate the ssability to study on their own.Evaluation:In my class, I mainly use four steps to evaluate the students after they act in pairwor
