Handbag, pocket book or purse Overcoat, wrap or blanket Umbrella or walking stick Small camera and / or binoculars A reasonable amount of reading matter for the flight Collapsible wheelchair / crutches Braces or prosthetic devices (provided the guest is dependent on them) Briefcase or portable PC which is not being used as a container for transportation of articles, regarded as baggage exception: laptop - not to be activated without flight crew knowledge / concurrence Mobile phone exception: not to be utilized during flight. Id like to take more than my free allocation. How much will it cost?We understand that its not always easy to pack within your weight limit. For an additional charge you can increase the amount of luggage you can take on your flight. Alternatively, you can send your extra weight for a reduced cost through Crystal Cargo.1. Calculate the cost per kilogram. This is based on the length of your flight. Firstly, find out the Zone for your origin and your destination in the table below. For example, if I travel from Morocco (Africa) to Japan I am travelling from Zone 2 to Zone 3.ZoneOrigin/DestinationZone 1Indian Subcontinent, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, the Maldives, Syria and the UAEZone 2Africa, China, Europe, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, the Seychelles and ThailandZone 3Australia, Japan and Korea2. Refer to the below table to understand the cost per extra kilogram you wish to take. Zone 2 to Zone 3 will incur a charge of US $45 for each extra kilogram you wish to take. Taking a 5kg bag will incur a cost of US $225. To/FromZone 1 Zone 2Zone 3Zone 1US $10US $20US $35Zone 2US $20US $35US $45Zone 3US $35US $45US $50Exception - Singapore/Brisbane: If you are travelling from Singapore to Brisbane, or Brisbane to Singapore your luggage will be charged at the rate of US $20 per kg.Exception - Beijing/Nagoya: If you are travelling from Beijing to Nagoya, or Nagoya to Beijing, your excess baggage will be charged at the rate of US $10 per kg.TopFor flights originating or arriving in AustraliaThe Australian Government has implemented security restrictions which limit the quantity of liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGS) that passengers may take on-board the aircraft for flights to Australia.These restrictions do not apply to checked-in baggage.In general, the only liquids, aerosols and gels that are allowed in a passengers carry-on baggage are: Liquids, aerosols and gels in containers of 100 milliliters or less, in one transparent re-sealable bag. The four sides of the re-sealable area should not add up to more than 80cm (e.g. 20x20cm or 15x25cm).Passengers are not permitted to have liquids, aerosols and gels in their carry-on baggage in excess of these restrictions.If you are on a connecting flight to Australia via Abu Dhabi, and have liquids, aerosols and gels as carry-on baggage in excess of the permitted quantities, they may be confiscated by the Abu Dhabi Airport Authorities during security checks at the transfer point or boarding gate.To avoid disappointment, it is recommended that Duty Free liquids, aerosols and gels in excess of the approved quantities are purchased on board the aircraft during your flight from Abu Dhabi to Australia.TopExcess baggage discountEtihad Guests can pre-pay for excess baggage via the Airport Ticketing Office (ATO), City Ticketing Office (CTO) and Call Centre (within the UAE: 02 599 0000; outside the UA
