商务英语入门课程Good morning/afternoon/evening 要问候一位朋友,你可以说,Hi! How are you?但在商务场合,问候别人更合适的方式是,Good morning/Good afternoon/Good evening.同时包括他们的姓名:Good morning, Ms. Smith.How may I help you? 无论你是在哪个领域,你工作的很大一部分内容会涉及到请求或提供帮助。因此当别人打电话或过来请你帮忙是,无论他们是你的客户还是老板,要微笑着回答,How may I help you? 或是What can I do for you?千万小心不要只是回答一句, What do you want?这句话听起来相待的粗鲁,特别是用错了音调的话更可怕(句子末尾的降调会使之听上去非常的不礼貌)。Im sorry/I will 当事情发生问题时,任何人都不希望听到的是借口。因此首先要道歉,然后采取行动。如果你回答不出问题或是不能完成某人的请求时,就用Im sorry ? 开始。这是避免冲突的最好的方式。例如,说Im sorry, I dont know the answer.但是不要就此停止!接着说出你将要做的内容。But I will find out. Im sorry表示出你对他们的关心,用I will表示你会帮助他们以安慰他们的情绪。Would you mind?/Could you?/Id appreciate. 除非你是top dog(老板),你不要让别人觉得你是在发号施令。用疑问句比用陈述句更能表达你的请求。Would you mind looking at this report?或是Could you take a look at this?比以下的句子更恰当,Look at this report.当你礼貌的提出请求时,同事会更乐意答应你!In my opinion/Im afraid I dont agree 在工作中,要讨论新的想法或是项目时,你需要用礼貌的方式来解释你的想法或是表示你不同意。将短语In my opinion ?用在句首来告诉听者你希望获得各种各样的不同意见。如果你不赞同某人,不要说, Thats the dumbest idea Ive ever heard! 而说,Im afraid I dont agree.小心选择你的用词还让和你共同协作的人更愿意听你的意见!Business English for beginnersGood morning/afternoon/eveningTo greet a friend, you might say, Hi! How are you? In business, however, its more appropriate to greet someone by saying, Good morning/Good afternoon/Good evening. Include their last name, too: Good morning, Ms. Smith.How may I help you?No matter what field youre in, much of your work probably involves handling requests or providing assistance. So when someone calls or comes to you for help, whether its a customer or your boss, smile and say, How may I help you? or What can I do for you? Be careful to not simply say, What do you want? This phrase often comes across as rude, especially if spoken with the wrong intonation (a falling tone at the end of the sentence can make it sound impolite).Im sorry/I willWhen something goes wrong, no one likes to hear excuses. So first apologize, and then take action. If you cant answer a question or meet a request, start with, Im sorry ? Its the best way to defuse a conflict before it starts. For example, if you dont know an answer, say, Im sorry, I dont know the answer. But dont stop there! Follow with what you will do: But I will find out. Im sorry says you care about their concern, and I will assures them youll help.Would you mind?/Could you?/Id appreciate.Unless youre the top dog (the boss), you dont want to sound like youre giving orders. Phrasing requests in question form is much better than issuing a statement. Would you mind looking at this report? or Could you take a look at this? is more appropriate than, Look at this report. When you make requests politely your colleagues will be much more likely to happily comply!In my opinion/Im afraid I dont agreeIn business, when discussing a new idea or project, you need polite ways to get your thoughts across or indicate you dont agree. Using the phrase In my opinion ? at the beginning of your sentence tells the listener that youre still open to other points of view. If you dont agree with someone, dont say, Thats the dumbest idea Ive
