Languageteaching modeland Total Situational Actionmodel to make ourChinesestudents learn Englishmore efficiently and easily.Each unitof this book includes:Language goals,language points,key words,grammar focus,and self-check,and canbe dividedinto twoparts:Section Aand SectionB.The designof this book aimsto improvestudentssound Englishabilities including:listening,speaking,reading andwriting.etc.For this lesson,it createsa situational context in the pictureof1a,and let studentslearnhow to shop.Because shoppingis verymon inour dailylife andmost students are interestedin shopping,this lessonenables Ssto knowhow to ask aboutprices and talk aboutclothing.Teaching aimsand demandsAnd nowwe havea basicunderstanding of thisbook,so Istart to conclude thethree teaching objectives aordingto Englishteaching syllabusand newlesson standards.They areknowledge objects,ability objectsand emotionalobjects.The knowledgeobjects ofthis lessoninclude:1.knowing thevocabularies the teaching materialsand haveknown the teaching aimsand demands,the keypoints anddifficulties,then howto achievethe teachingobjectives better,to stressthe keypoints andbreak through the difficultpoints?The keyis tomake useoftheproper teaching methods.Now Ill talkabout myteachingmethodsbelow.Aording tothe modernperception theoriesand socialintercourse teachingtheories,I adoptthe TBLTmethod as thisbookrequired andTSA methodin myteaching,namely Task-based LanguageTeaching andTotalSituationalAction.And byrepeating andcooperation,we breakthroughthedifficulties together.The Task-based LanguageTeaching methodoffers the Ss anopportunity to do somepreparations anddevelop theirstudy abilitiesand habits.And theTotal situationalAction methodcan createstudentsatotal Englishstudy environmentand improvetheir abilitytouseEnglish.At thesame time,make useofthemodern teachingequipments andall kindsof teachingmeans;it canmobilize theSsenthusiasm andactivity inlearning English.Studying MethodsFor students,howtolearn thislesson well?First,I willletstudentsstudy ina relaxingand agreeableatmosphere.Ss understand the newknowledge ina certaindegree throughthe mentalprocess ofseeing,hearing,saying,observing,imagining,thinking etc.And thenlet themmake preparationfor pletingthe newstudy task.Teaching aidsAnd toachieve asuessful lesson,we needsome teachingaids likeMulti-media puter;OHP(overhead projector);tape recorder;cards;PowerPoint.Teaching proceduresNow wheneverything isready,I wouldlike totalkabouttheteachingprocedures.In order to realizetheteachingprocess systematically,properly andefficientlyandunder theprinciple of“regard Ssas thecorpus,the teacherinspires forpredominance”,I dividetheteachingprocess intoseven steps.Step1Revision andlead-in1.Greeting thestudents asusual withsome simplesentences like:How areyou?And thentake outsome preparedcards withsome colorfulpens,erasers,books andtables etc.ask thestudents“whatsthis?Whatre these?What coloris it?What colorare they?ect.”2.I willteach the new wordsby usingsome picturesand ask them“Do youlike thesesocks?”or“Do youlike thisT-shirt?”3.After learnthenew wordsandI willlet thestudents lookat the picture onPage41and matchthe wordswith thethings inthepicture.Step2.presentation andpractice.1.play therecording thefirst time,Ss onlylisten.2.play therecording asecond time,Ss listenand repeat.3.askapair ofstudents topractice thesmall conversationand thenlet theother studentsto dopair workwith theirpartners andpractice theconversation.Then askpairs ofstudentstodo presentationand check the result.4.askthestudentstosubstitute theclothesandpractice theconversation again.And thenchecktheresults.Step3Task time.This stepgives thestudents5-8minutes tomake asimilar dialogueusing thephrases andsentences learnedin thispassage aordingtothegiven situation(show iton thescreen usinga multi-media puter).This stepis employedto createa languageenvironment forpracticing studentsmunication abilityintheclass.If thestudents canfinish thistask well,they willbenefit alot.Step4Consolidation andpetition Askthestudentsto writedown theconversations theyhave practiced,and thentry to memorize theconversations,and thenwe willdo apetition tosee whichpair constructedmore conversations.Step5Homework Inordertoextend studentsability ofusing English,its necessaryto givestudents goodand properhomework.1.Copy thenewwordsin yourexercise bookand trytomemoriz
