Each chapter should be preceded by an abstract (1015 lines long) that summarises the content. The abstract will appear online at www.SpringerL and be available with unrestricted access. This allows unregistered users to read the abstract as a teaser for the complete chapter. If you would prefer the abstracts not to appear in the printed version of your book, please submit them in a separate file. Simply use the “Quotation” button it will automatically produce Springers preferred layout. To insert a footnote simply choose the “Footnote” button.Please do not leave large gaps at the bottom of a page. If a figure or table will not fit on the space left on a page, please reposition the figure so that it appears at a more convenient point in the text. Fig. 1.1 Please use the “Figure Legend” button for figure legends. Note that “Fig.” and the figure number are in bold, while the rest of the legend is not. Figure legends appear below figures. If you wish to emphasise certain words or phrases in the text, please use italics, not bold or underlining.1.3 Running HeadersOn versos (left, even-numbered pages), please give the chapter number (do not use the word “Chapter” and the chapter title. The main words in the chapter title (all words except articles, conjunctions and prepositions of fewer than five letters) should begin with a capital letter, just like on the first page of the chapterOn rectos (right, odd-numbered pages), please give the authors initial(s) and last name. If there are two authors, please separate their names with “and”, e.g., “A.N. Other and M.R. Smith”. If there are three or more authors, please just give the first authors initials and last name, followed by “et al.”, e.g., “M.S. Writer et al.”.Please ensure running headers are no longer than one line.
