Teaching demands and aims:1. Get the students to comprehend and learn the five words: in/on/under/near/else. 2. Able to use the four words to ask and describe the position of the objects fluently and correctly. 3. Rouse the students interests of learning English and keep their habit of learning English. The important point of teaching: 1.Able to comprehend and speak the sentences: Where is it? Its on/in/under/near; What else can you see? 2. Able to use the preposition on/in/under/near correctly.The difficult point of teaching: Use the prepositions to talk about the positions correctly and make sure about the pronunciation of the sentence “where is it?” Teaching tools: A tape recorder, a tape cassette, a computer and the other multimedia instrument.Teaching procedure:Step 1. Warming up1. Play a game. Quickly revise the six words which the students learned in the last period by showing the pictures. 2. Go over the sentences “what can you see?” , “what cant you see?” by showing pictures. Step 2. Revision According to the pictures, get some excellent students to practice asking and answering about the pictures by using the sentences which they have learned. What can you see?I can seeWhat cant you see? I cant see.Step 3. Presentation 1. Take turns to present some objects that they have learned, ask and get them to answer:T: What can you see? S: I can see T: Where is it? Lead the students to repeat follow the teacher while writing the words and sentence structures on the bb. in onunder nearIts on/in/under/nearThen drill the sentences.2. According the sentence “what can you see?”, to present the sentence “What else can you see? “. Write down the sentence and lead the students to repeat and then drill it.What else can you see?
