Teaching procedures:ProceduresContentsStep 1GreetingGreet students and briefly introduce myself.Step 2Lead-in1. Play the music Erquan Yingyue;2. Then guide them into our topic today Sad but beautiful?Step 3Background and before reading 1. By presenting the Chinese musical instruments, draw the students attention to Erhu;2. Introduce Abing and ask the students to talk about feelings;3. Check ss preview and teach them reading skill.Step 4Fast reading1. Draw the students attention to the topic and ask them “what kind of music can be sad but beautiful ?” and then guide into Abings Erquan Yingyue;2. Let ss reading the passage in several minutes with questions; 3. Ask some of the ss to answer these questions;Step5 Careful reading1. Guide ss read paragraph by paragraph and get the main idea of each paragraph. 2. Find out supporting details including examples, reasons, opinions or other detailed information.3. Pay more attention to reading skill.4. Finish relative exercise. Step 6Post reading1. Work on 2d and finish the blanks;2. Retell the story and write down notes;3. Thinking: group work for discussing feelings after reading this passage. 4. Practice more about attributive clause.Step 7Homework and summary1. Summarize what we have learned in class; 1. Reading skill: find out supporting details.; 2. Language points; 3. Sentence patterns of attributive clause; 2. Homework: 1. Reading again and retell the passage. 2.
