Some of those against capital punishment believe that human life is so valuable that even the worst murderers should not be deprived of the value of their lives. They believe that the value of the offenders life cannot be destroyed by the offenders bad conduct - even if they have killed someone. Some abolitionists dont go that far. They say that life should be preserved unless there is a very good reason not to, and that the those who are in favour of capital punishment are the ones who have to justify their position. However , in my opinion, the capital punishment should be abolished in modern society. After all, the ultimate goal of the law and the punishment is not to punish crime but to stop the crime, it means that punishment is not the purpose , warning and deterrence are just some means. Use the death penalty to warning to others, is very elementary way, and its essence is a force suppression type of deterrent. However, the facts tell us,no matter how terrible the “death”is ,there were still many people dont afraid of death.we can say that ,such examples,the ancient from this, have never disappeared before. For example ,Qin era, there were many types of exceptions for the death penalty,and tho deatnere were many people sentenced to death. Nevertheless think highly of the death of deterrence, we just get the opposite result and the desire. All of this tell us that the deterrence of the death penalty is definitely not the best means to stop breaking the law! Additionally, I can illustrate my point by personal and social perspectives . From a personal point of view , it will cause the unfair Judgment for the people- Generally, it is observed that Capital punishment is inflicted unduly on the poor and minorities. If you follow the data of these victims, you will find that the mentally ill, poor and people belonging to minorities form a large chunk of the total number. You can also notice a kind of racial discrimination this happens due to varied reasons. Because the poor can offer very low compensation the defense lawyers are often incompetent, resulting in losing the case. Due to prejudice and bias, poor people, and people from minority sections become soft target for such capital punishments, as unrestricted discretion has offered to District attorney. If anyone wants to appeal then it becomes a burdensome process for him often resulting in denial of justice. Meanwhile,by giving capital punishment, the family of the victim is permanently traumatized and victimized. They are often punished by their loved ones without their fault, even though they are innocent.After all ,the Courts decision does not guarantee that each person to be executed is the real killer.Once killing the wrong, death is final result, it means that there is no room for redemption.However, for the society Capital Punishment is itself a premeditated murder. This is unacceptable even it is inflicted by state authority as it lowers the value of life. In fact, such act can only brutalize the society. Revenge is essential can become a society attitude. Whats more ,death will lead to a waste of the available cheap labor, and its not an economical penalty method . All in all, The death penalty on criminals is not conducive to solving crime, the damages caused, only solutions of the victims moment of anger, but not to help to solve the lives of the families of victims and offenders difficult. Moreover,Marx once said that year, the most serious crimes often occurred after the death sentence announced. And the severe penalty of the deterrent effect is often a result of the French Open chances omissions offset.It can not simply focus on the more severe penalty kill and over-rely on to maintain social order. Therefore, I insist on abolishing the death penalty in the modern life.
