PEP Grade 4一、 teaching contents:Lets talk, the first period二、 teaching objectives: Knowledge aim: In this class students will be able to manage the new words and can freely express the structure” What time is it: Its eight oclock” Ability aim: To increase students abilities of listening, reading, speaking and writing, and let them speak more at class. Affect aim: Make the students have successful feeling and learn how to ask time, treasure time, dont waste any of it三、 teaching points and difficulties:To express “time to go home! ”,“Its time for dinner”and understand the difference between them.四、 teaching process:step1:Greetings(free talk), Hello everyone, how are you today?step2:Warming-up,sing the song of “one little, two little, three little Indians ”step3:Presentation Show the model of a clock, and move the hands of clock, and ask students whats the time? Draw a clock, teacher says the time students draw the time on the clock face.step4:Practice listen to the music and pass the box: students will answer the question by taking out one of the paper when music stops. Dictation competition: Display some sentences with blanks on the blackboard, students must finish them in few seconds. Show the picture of Wu yifan and John, they are good friends, they are talking about the time, When do they go home? Now lets listen to the dialogue. Now lets read the dialogue together just think how many people are there in this dialogue? step5:Production Try to make a dialogue with the following informationNamesKey words and expressionsWu yifan Playground What time is it?John Five, Six, its time for dinner.School guard Time to go homeWords bank Lucy: Library, what time is it? Mary: 11:00 12:00 its time for lunch canteen.step6:Sum-up: Ask students what time is it by using the clock model, then name one the student to answer what we have learned today? Show the sayings about treasuring time: Time is gold, money cant buy time. Time goes easily we should treasure it, or we will regret when we are aging.step7:HomeworkTry to make a similar dialogue using the words we have learned. If you get lots of time what are you gonna do?step8: Teaching reflection In this lesson most of students manage the expressions well, but which is too difficult for students to make a new dialogue according to the basic one.
