Instructional objectives (language knowledge and language skills)1) Students can have a better knowledge of the text. 2) Students can use predicting, skimming, scanning 3) Students can complete 3 passages with some key expressions from this text: a bicycle ride, cant afford, wash away, make a plan for, go around, supply the wood, under ones guidance, officially open, in a short speech, Students bridge, have a surprise for sb. 2. Educational objectives (affect, learning strategy and cultural awareness) 1) Arouse the students learning motivation 2) Encourage the students to speak out. 3) Help the students use reading skills: skimming, scanning 3. Let the students complete 3 passages with some key phrases from this text to get the main contents of this text and master these phrases. Difficult points:To master the key phrases through gap-fillingProcedures and Time Allotment Stage 1 Getting students ready for learning (1 mins)Step 1. GreetingsT: Good morning, everyone.S: Good morning, Miss Tao. Stage 2 Pre-stage(Pre-reading) (6 mins) PredictionStep 1 Look at the two pictures and complete the following sentencesRebuilding of a BridgeT: everybody, look at the two pictures; we can see that there is a stream.
