We study English by working with a group. 我们通过小组学习学英语。提问:How do you study English? Exx;1) How do you study English?-By _(listen) to tapes. 2) This old man makes a living by _(drive) a taxi. 3) We study for our math test by asking the teacher for help.(提问) _ _ you _ for your math test?2 aloud , loud ,loudly 的区别 1)aloud 是副词,表示为使人能听见而发出声音。The students are reading aloud.学生们正在大声读书。2)loud 常用做形容词。You shouldnt speak in a loud voice in the reading room.阅览室里禁止大声说话。用做副词时常使用比较级形式。Can you speak a little louder?你说话声音稍大一点好吗?3)loudly 副词,可指人声、敲门声或其他各种声音高且不悦耳。The couple are arguing loudly.那对夫妻在大声地争吵。3 too (for sb.)to do sth. 太而不能 可与下列短语进行同义句转换:1)be not adj. enough to do sth. He is too young to go to school. He is _ _ _ to go to school. 2) sothat 如此以致 He is so tired that he cant go on working. He is _ _ _ go on working.4 see , watch ,look , look at 的区别 1)see 看见,强调看的结果。2)watch 观看,带有欣赏性。3)look 不及物动词,常用来提醒别人注意。Look at 指看的动作,不强调结果。5 many, much, a lot of ,lots of , a lot 的区别 1)many, much, a lot of/lots of 都是形容词,用于修饰名词; a lot 相当于副词,用于修饰动词。2) many 修饰可数名词,much 修饰不可数名词, a lot of /lots of 既可修饰可数名词又可修饰不可数名词。III.当堂测试 句型转换:1 He has many color pencils in his bag.(同义句) He has _ _ _ pencils in his bag. 2 The mother was so angry that she couldnt say a word. II 知识探究1 be afraid to do sth, 害怕去做某事。 Be afraid of doing sth. /n. 害怕某人或某物/做某事。Be afraid + that 从句 2 I dont know how to use commas.斜体部分结构是“疑问词+不定式”可做主语,宾语,表语。 Exx. I dont know what _ (do) He doesnt know how _(use) computer. 3find ,look for, find out 的区别 : 1) look for 表示“寻找”,强调找的过程。Eg. He is looking for his pen everywhere. 2)find 表示“找到,发现”, 强调寻找的结果。Eg. Who found the lost boy in the end? 最终谁找到了那个丢失的孩子。3)find out 表示查出,查明,弄清,多指 通过观察、思考、探索而弄明白某事。Eg, When Edison was a child, he liked to find out how things worked. 当爱迪生还是个孩子的时候,就喜欢弄清事情的来龙去脉。 4 speak , talk ,tell say 的区别: 1)talk 指交谈,侧重双方行为。We talked a lot on the phone. 2) say 指说话的内容,常引出别人说的原话。“Lets start our meeting .” said to me. 3) tell“告诉” tell sb. sth. /tell sb. to do sth. 讲 如,讲故事,讲笑话 4) speak 说话的能力,也指说某种语言。 Can you speak English? 5another, the other, others,the others 的区别: another指(三个或三个以上的)另一个,后接单数名词,相当于one more。The other指(两个中的)另一个,常用于onethe other结构。others 指(三个以上之中)其他的,表示除去一部分以后的另一些,但不是全体。相当于other+复数名词。The others指(三个以上之中)其余的,剩下的,表示一定范围内除去一部分外剩余的全体,相当于the other+复数名词。 I dont like this one.Show me another . These two apples are bad,but the other ones ( the others) are all good. 6 find 的用法:1)find +n. 找到某物 Have you found your bike ?2)find+宾语+宾补,其中宾补可使用现在分词、形容词或过去分词。A: I found a dog lying on the ground .B: When we got to the bank, we found the door closed.3)find+ 从句 We found that the boy was telling a lie . 4)find+it (形式宾语)+形容词(宾补)+to do sth. How did you deal with your old bike ? = What did you do with your old bike? 2 forget ;leave 的区别:两个词均表示“忘了” , 但forget多用于“忘记某人、某事”。 而leave多用于“忘记,忽略拿/带”。汉语中说“把忘/丢在某地”,在英语中用“leave sth.+地点状语”这一结构。Eg I forget your address.我忘了你的地址。I left my schoolbag in the library.我把书包忘在图书馆里了。 death n. 死, 死亡die是瞬间动词,意为“死亡”,不能与表示一段时间的时间状语连用。dead是形容词,意为“死了的,枯了的”, 既可以作表语也可以作定语, 可与表示一段时间的时间状语连用。dying是die的现在分词, 可以用作形容词, 意为“垂死的, 即将死去的”。辨词高手:用die, dead, death或dying填空。1).
