People try the initial measurement and control is comes from the need of production and life, the time of measurement and control requirements, the invention of sundials, use it to measure time; For measurement and control requirements of the space, humans create related theory of point, line and plane, use it to describe space. In todays society, of course, to the requirement of measurement and control technology not only stay in the primary stage, with the development of science and technology changes with each passing day, measurement and control technology has entered a new era. The modern measurement and control technology is the source of information science and technology, optical, precision machinery, electronics, computer science and information technology permeate each other and form a new and high technology intensive and comprehensive technology. It involved areas is extremely broad, small to manufacturing plant inspection, big to satellite rocket monitoring, and closely related to the measurement and control technology. Measurement and control technology is directly applied to the production and life of the application technology, its application covers the farming weight, land, sea and air, food and clothing in various fields of social life. Technology of instrument and meter is the national economy of the multiplier, the forerunner of scientific research, military combat and the rule of law and regulations in the judge . Computer measurement and control technology and intelligent to precision measurement and control instruments and systems is important symbol and means of modern chemical agriculture production, science and technology research, management, and inspection and monitoring field, is playing a more and more important role.Measurement and control technology and instrument professional involved in instrument, electronics, optics, precision machinery, computer, information technology and control technology, etc, these technologies involving multiple disciplines. Professional class belongs to the instrument of measure and control technology and instrument of undergraduate education levels, belong to the category of engineering in the instrumentation engineering. Measurement and control technology and instrument specialty of the main subject is: instrument science and technology, electronic information engineering disciplines, optical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and technology disciplines. Measurement and control technology related disciplines: control science and engineering, information and communication engineering disciplines. Measurement and control technology and instrument is one of the typical technologies of multidisciplinary cross fusion. Information theory, cybernetics and system theory is the theory of the measurement and control professional basis, information technology, control technology, network technology is the basic technology of measurement and control professional, multidisciplinary cross and system integration is measurement and control of professional characteristics significantly. In todays world has entered the information age, measurement and control technology, computer technology and communication technology and information science and technology of the three pillars, and the sources of measurement and control technology is the information technology, is an important link in the information flow, to play an irreplaceable role in the development of information technology. Instrumentation is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary cross borderline subject, access to information as the main task, and integrated the information transmission, processing, and control the basic knowledge and application, such as instrument is an important part of information industry, is the source of the information industry.Measurement and control technology is an applied technology, widely used in industry, agriculture, transportation, navigation, aviation, military, electricity and civil life each domain. With the development of production technology, from the initial control of a single measurement and control technology and, equipment, and to control the whole process, and system, especially in todays advanced technology in the field of modern science and technology, measurement and control technology plays an important role.For example, in metallurgical industry, the application of measurement and control technology are: the hot blast stove of iron making process control, charging control and blast furnace control, pressure control of rolling process, rolling mill, speed control and frizzy control, and used in a variety of detection instrument, etc.The training objectives of the two disciplines of measure and control technology and instrument design and manufacture is to develop a precision instrument and measurement and control the basic knowledge and application ability, can in the national economy departments concerned in the field of measurement and control technology, equipment and system design and manufacturing, science and technology development, applied research, operation management, and other aspects of senior engineering and technical personnel. Its content mainly study basic theory of optics, machinery and electronics, precision instruments, measurement and control theory and design method about measurement and control instruments, trained by modern measurement and control technology and instrument application, with the professional measurement and control technology and instrument system application and design and development capabilities.Measurement and control are the two basic tasks and approaches for human understanding of the world and the transformation of the world, while the measurement and control technology or system is the human to achieve these two tasks and tools. Actually, measurement and control technology and instrument specialty mainly by the relevant knowledge of precision machinery, electronics, optical engineering, sensor technology, computer technology and control technology constitute professional foundation, optical, mechanical, electrical, computer integration features. With the rapid development of science and technology, the development and application of optical and electrical integration system has been paid more and more attention.
