It has a close relation to the unit 9.This unit aimed at consolidating what have learned in the last unit. In this unit, students will learn a new interrogativewhere and some new sentence patterns. This unit can help develop students ability of using the past indefinite tense to ask questions and knowing how to answer them.Student analysisThe students in this class are from country. Their English foundation is poor, especially oral English and listening. Eighty percent students have an interesting in speaking English despite that they may have mistakes. Twenty percent students are too shy to speak English. Most of them like group work, which can evoke their initiative. They work very hard and they remember many words.Teaching objectivesAfter learning this lesson, the students will be able to know what is the past indefinite tense, and can write and speak out what others did in English. They should know how to question with the past indefinite tense and how to answer them, In addition, they will know the meaning of the interrogativewhereand how to use it to question. They should know two important sentences: where did you go on vacation? It has a close relation to the unit 9.Listening to a song about vacation can lead to this class topic naturally. What is more ,it can evoke the students interesting and makes class lively. Through the pictures and the students action, the students can learn new phrases and sentences.This activity can develop students sense of cooperation and practice their oral English and listening. It can consolidate this class new points.T: How was your weekend? S: It was great! I went to the beach. T: How was your weekend?S: It was ok.
