大学学生毕业实习报告 1 Internship Report From March 1st to March 22nd I was doing my fieldwork as an English teacher in The place where I did my fieldwork is a typical education training school The school is mainly involved in offering service on professional after class tutoring for middle and primary school students proper home education guidance for parents and associative learning skill so as to implement quality oriented education concept Undertaking the task of making every student feel fun and easy to study the school is aimed at fulfilling the educational idea of being students good teacher and friend from beginning to end During almost 20 days I have gained not only knowledge but also much more practical experience that helps me grows to maturity What s more it is the first time to transfer my role to be a teacher since I have been a student for about 15 years Since I had to deal with the work and solve the problems which I have never experienced I got different feeling in this internship In first week because my teaching experience was very shallow and I was not familiar with teaching activities for the program and demands I acted as a spectator and listener in other teachers class In order to be adapted to educational circumstance more quickly I listened to lessons carefully and took down notes Also I often communicated with my supervisor immediately after I read textbook In addition it was my duty to correct students papers It was of great significance to correct mistakes for students especially for these primary students So I often made short courageous comments when I corrected students errors so as to keep their self confidence as they correct their errors During this course I found that there some common problems for these students Those problems can be divided into several kinds Spelling error Spelling error was one of the biggest problems in primary students papers It was difficult for them to remember some long spelling words and new words Incorrect pronunciations It was not required for primary students to learn the phonetic alphabet so many students cannot get the correct pronunciation of some words Another reason was that some students didn t read aloud and were lack of practice Careless handwriting Some students showed careless attitude towards assignment and 大学学生毕业实习报告 2 didn t write carefully After being one week spectator and listener I started to make lesson plans and prepared for giving lessons in the second week My supervisor conducted me how to make a detailed and complete lesson plan and gave me some suggestions On Monday morning of the second week I gave the first trial lesson which was not a formal one but the first trial lesson showed many weak points My supervisor approved me of creative idea and proposal and then she put forward some precious advice I noted down her comments carefully summarized what she said and what I should do and correct immediately On Tuesday afternoon March 12th supervisor spent two hours in listening to my second trial lesson This time I improved much more and got much more support from my supervisor She gave me some suggestion again and let me give a lesson for students next day On Wednesday morning March 13th it was the first time for me to stand on the platform to give a lesson for students Thus I felt very nervous Having introduced myself I took a deep breath to adjust my nervous mentality and began to give the lesson According to my plan I delivered my lecture step by step With students active cooperation and enthusiastic participation class atmosphere became relaxing and interesting Therefore I relaxed myself gradually and delivered my lecture more freely and smoothly Finally I didn t finish what I had prepared because I forgot the time limit After class my supervisor made comments on my lecture that it s ok My partner also gave me much favorable remarks and inspiration which let me feel much more confident I got many suggestions from them So I improved my lesson plan again when I came back from class On Thursday afternoon March 14th I gave another two lessons As the proverb says practice makes perfect Much different from yesterday s experience I didn t feel much nervous and finished my lecture in limited time Students still cooperated and participated actively and class atmosphere kept relaxing and interesting It was a successful lecture for me during my internship Of course my success was much concerned with those suggestions and help by my supervisor and partner from whom I made much more progress During each class I paid much attention to interacting with students On the first class 大学学生毕业实习报告 3 I gave everyone an English name I also tried to remember each one s Chinese name and know about their characteristics and interests After class I didn t forget to pay attention to communicating with my students and joining into them I asked them whether they could understand what I said in class and where I should improve To my surprise some students told me that too much English in my lecture Even some students complained that some words used in my oral English were difficult for them to understand If I had not had chats with my students I would never have found those problems So I thought it was my fortune to realize those problems immediately And then I added more Chinese explanation into my lecture and avoided using difficult words in my oral English during the following classes Eventually I was much more understood by those primary school students in class What s more they regarded me as their elder brother and friend after class There was a boy who was excellent in all subjects but English in my class I heard from my supervisor that he showed little interest in English and was even afraid of this subject so he was poor in English and lost confidence for himself I decided to help him and spent each leisure time helping him review lessons and teaching him how to learn English Gradually he became more interested in English study and made progress in examination After that more and more students often asked for me and showed their great initiative in English learning Meanwhile I was very surprised and moved by those primary students activeness and hunger for knowledge From these classes that I had I completely got the feeling as a teacher From students hunger for knowledge I was aware that it s my duty to deliver what I have learned to them and it s my responsibility to try to be a good teacher From this internship I summarized pieces of advice that were concern about primary students education They are as follows First of all interest is of vital importance for every student when he is learning knowledge Thus it is necessary for a teacher to activate students and develop their interest on study and in leaning new things In order to make students study actively and learn happily teacher should center on students and give scope to students initiative and creativeness when teacher is giving his or her lessons It s better for teachers to change the 大学学生毕业实习报告 4 traditional educational manners in which teachers often make severe requirements on students Then teacher should be patient so that teacher can help students to correct their weak points In addition teacher should make efforts and take actions to make a democratic and harmonious education atmosphere under which teacher establishes equal teacher student relationships and regards himself or herself as a member among students group What s more attention should be paid to encouraging students If students are praised by their teachers they will be more active on study which contribute to livening up class atmosphere and achieving good educational effects Last but not least different students show different response to teacher s lecture That means students possess different ability on study and we should teach according to students ability In other words individualized curriculum is needed for education especially for primary education Therefore we should pay attention to communication with students so that we can know what they need This
