2010年淮南四中教坛新星比赛教学设计Module6 Unit 16 Stories Lesson 2 Name Stories (Period 1)高二英语组 李洁教材分析本课是第16单元的第2课。本课的听力材料是三位学生讲述他们名字的故事。学生将在本课学习使用听力策略,听取并记录信息,复述他人名字故事。并学会用目标语言简单讲述自己姓名的故事,并实际口头练习。听说练习之后,结合文化广角的英文姓氏的起源,话题进一步深入,学生通过对比东西方人名,了解其所承载的不同文化。学情分析话题对于学生来说很熟悉因而难度不大。重点是学生能够准确的获取信息并流畅的复述。难点是听力材料较长,因此我决定在教学中将其分为三个部分分别完成。话题的另外一个特点则是文化意义很强,因此特别结合教材以及教参的补充内容在文化上深度挖掘。语言上难度也适中因此要求学生说与写上输出量很大。Teaching aims:A. Lesson 2 Name Stories Characters 李 洁 family name/ first name/given name Function File: last name I believe I suppose I guess I assume教学反思:本课的基本思路是激活输入输出。在自我介绍姓名故事的过程中,我有意运用表示猜测的表达给学生有个初步的输入,然后自然过渡到提问学生的姓名及含义。之后以guessing game 这一方式激发学生对本堂课更多的了解。课后我觉得可以找一些典型的中文名让学生猜测其含义及推出取这些名字的来源,随之将一些西方名字的取名文化引入,希望在听力之前再给学生扫除文化障碍。或者将听力练习中第一个中国人名听完,再进行之前西方名字背景输入,再听之后两个英文名,也许效果更佳,一来可以减缓听力步骤,因为听力段落较多,二来可以给学生喘息机会,为他们之后要听的两个人名进行更充分的准备。由于本课听力文章很长,长达五分半时间,倘若直接让学生泛听这么长时间,容易疲劳走神,也不利于抓住文章大意。于是我将本文按照三个人名分别进行泛听与静听。每段在泛听获得大意之后做些精听练习,加强学生的理解。为避免单调。每段以不同方式呈现, take notes ; fill in blanks; T or F。这样保持学生的新鲜感。不足之处在于由于时间紧迫,对于学生对听力内容的理解情况反馈还不够,如果学生有疑问处,应该倒带回去听。在听力之后,我进行了最后一个speaking的练习,让学生在这么多的激活和输入之后,结合一些相关表达,谈论名字的含义,由来或故事。学生反应热烈,倘若时间再多些的话,还会让学生起来讲述他们的姓名故事给大家听,还可以对在座老师进行一个采访,询问他们姓名的含义,将此作为汇报,这样还能带动在座所有人的目光,创造和谐热烈的课堂气氛。总之,本人对这堂课总体思路还算满意,但还有许多细节地方需要不断改进和突破。附:学案M6 U16-L2-1 Name StoriesPreview Questions:1.
