The survey was conducted online and 1,000 respondents were questioned.About 45 percent of all the women questioned said that they preferred Apple as their mobile provider. The only area in which another brand enjoyed an advantage was in one particular age group.Women aged 4049 voted for Samsung (36 percent), rather than Apple as their one true love. For men, however, the tale is quite different. Their preferred provider is Samsung. Yes,gentlemen prefer a Galaxy over an iPhone. The top percentage among men was Samsungs 33. However, again there was one age group that didnt want to go along with the male crowd. Men aged 5059 preferred Apple (34 percent)Overall, Apple was the preferred brand of 39 percent of the respondents, with Samsung still 10 points behind. The survey shows no regional variation, for Apple was the king, or the queen, in every region of America. However, one statistic ought to give hope to Nokia and other brands. Twentyfive percent of these 1,000 respondents didnt have a favorite mobile brand. More precisely, this was made up of 27. 3 percent of the men and 23.7 percent of the women. That is surely a huge market, whose heart has not been captured and is clearly ready for love.Just to show you how great a gap exists currently between some brands and true consumer affection, in this survey a mere 3 percent of respondents said that Nokia was their preferred brand.Still, Nokia came ahead of BlackBerry (2 percent) and Microsoft (1 percent)When you think of how many phones seem to be produced almost daily, its quite sad that so many of them inspire little to no enthusiasm.Perhaps engineers and marketing departments ought to cooperate more closely and examine what people love and why they love it.Otherwise, Judge Lucy Koh will spend her whole life listening to Apple and Samsung lawyers drone (唠叨) on about their ultimate justice.1According to the survey,_ preferred to use iPhone.Amen aged 5059Bwomen aged 4049C45 percent of the respondentsD23.7 percent of all the women2The survey examined the following aspects EXCEPT_.Agender preferenceBbrand preferenceCmarketing research Dregional variation3What can we infer from the article?AJudge Lucy Koh likes neither iPhone nor Samsung.BLawyers would like to talk about mobile phones.CThere is still a huge market for more phone brands.DPhones are produced every day to inspire peoples life.4Which may be the most suitable title?AScience and Man BPreference SecretsCSamsung and iPhone DMobile Phones Today.任务型阅读(2015江苏省南京、盐城市高三二模) Trust is in rare supply these days. People are having trouble trusting each other, according to an APGFK poll conducted in November 2013, which found that Americans are suspicious of each other in their everyday life. Only onethird of Americans say most people can be trusted down from half who felt that way in 1972. A record high of nearly twothirds says “you cant be too careful” in dealing with people in 2013.This can be carried over into the workplace, where employees want their leaders to be more trustworthy. Employees have grown tired of unexpected outcomes resulting from the lack of preparation. They want to be informed of any change management efforts before not after the fact. Employees desire to know what is expected of them and be given the opportunity to better themselves, rather than be told they are not qualified for new roles and responsibilities. Here are four early warning signs for you to course correct when employees are having trouble trusting their leaders.Lack courageLeaders that dont stand up for what they believe in are difficult to respect and trust. Too many leaders waste too much of their valuable time trying to act like other leaders in the organization rather than attempting to establish their own identity and leadership style. Employees know that if their leaders are not savvy (精明) enough to move themselves into a position of greater influence, it will make it much more difficult for them to get noticed and discovered as well. When leaders lack the courage to enable their full potential and that of others, it becomes a challenge to trust.SelfcenteredWhen a leader is only looking out for themselves and lacks any sense of commitment to the advancement of their employees this shuts off employees quickly. Great leaders are great coaches and are always looking to help their employees grow. When leaders lack any real desire to coach or guide the career advancement of their employees it becomes increasingly difficult for employees to trust them. But when leaders are too disruptive (指手画脚), their employees sense that they are in it for themselves and/or dont trust the talent around them.Reputation issuesWhen people begin to speak negatively about their leader, it makes it more difficult for others to trust their intentions. For example, look at what has happened to President Barack Obama since December 2009 when his approval rating was 69%. Four years later, Obamas approval rating is at 43%. Many who have followed him for years are now having trouble trusting him.Every leader must be aware that they are constantly being evaluated and thus they can never grow selfsatisfied. When they do, this begins to negatively impact their reputation and the trust employees have in their leadership.Inconsistent BehaviorPeople are more inclined to trust those who are consistent with their behavior. Isnt it easy to begin questioning ones judgment when they are inconsistent? When everyone but the leader is on board with a strategy you begin to wonder if their intentions are to support the organizations advancement or their own. Leaders need to refresh their leadership style before they lose the trust of their employees. This is what today leaders must consider: how to lead in new ways that focus less on oneself, but more on the betterment of a healthier whole.Trust between employees and their leaders Problem(1)_ has been declining among Americans in their daily life as well as in the workplace.Employees hopes for leaders (2)_ trustEmployees want to be (3)_ to get prepared for any change management efforts in advance.Employees desire to know their leaders expectations of them and want to get (4)_to better themselves.Warnings for leaders to (5)_ the breakdown of trustDont (6)_ other leaders and stand up for what you believe in.Be (7)_to helping your employees grow.Never let (8)_negatively impact your reputation.Behave (9)_or your judgment will be questioned.SuggestionFor leaders, more focus on the betterment of a healthier whole should be taken into (10)_答 案. 2选A与本句中“never fully appreciated their mothers”形成呼应,并根据固定搭配:too . to “太而不能”可知,此处表示遗憾。故选A项。
