S:Fine,thank you.T:How old are you? S:Im _.Step2:Presentation认读单词:taller stronger older younger shorterStep3:New lesson(1)出示课件:(姚明)T:What is his name? Do you know? Can you tell me something about him? In Chinese is OK. (教师用双语予以补充,介绍姚明为国家争夺了很多荣誉,渗透德育,培养孩子们从小培养树立为国为班争光的意识,增强集体荣誉感。) And then ask:Do you have any another questions? S:How old is he?/When is his birthday?/Is he very very tall?.T:He is very tall.How tall is he? (由How old is he?引出How tall is he?)Can you guess the meaning? T:He is _metres tall.(Practise the pronunction of cm)T: Is he short or tall?S:He is tall.(2)出示另一张图片(矮人)T:Is he short or tall?S:He is very short.T:He is shorter than Yao Ming.T:He is fifty -five years old. He has some illness, so he can not be as tall as us. Do you want to be as short as him? S:No. T:So you must eat enough food such as vegetables and fruit and so on,then you can have a healthy body.(3) 播放John 和Wu关于lets talk对话。The first time,listen and think about how tall John is and how tall Wu is.The second time 师生交流。提出听录音是的问题,学生回答并解释Wu is taller than John.Wu is 4cm taller than John.John is shorter than Wu.The third time read after the tape.And then read in groups.(4) Practise 出示另一组对比图片(世界第一高人鲍喜顺和一个卡通小矮人) In the same way to practice. 在此过程中,通过对比这些图片介绍taller and shorter的用法。指着班上一名同学问:Is he short or tall?How tall is he?S:I dont know.T:Let us measure together.(拿出米尺测量)And then ask the student: How tall are you?S1:Im_metres tall.T:You are _.Step4:Group work. 出示课件(打出表格)学生拿出米尺自己测量,练习对话。How old are you?
