to jion metals permanently .It is the only way of joining two or more pieces of metal to make them act as a single piece .welding is vital to our economy. It is often said that over 50% of the gross national product of the U.S.A is related to welding in one way or another .Welding rangks high among industrial and involves more science and variables than those involved in any other industrial process .There are many ways to make a weld and many different kinds of welds.Some processes cause sparks and others do not even require extra heat.welding can be done anywhere-outdoors or indoors,underwater and in outer space.Nealy everything wo in our daily life is welded or made equipment that is welded.Welders help build metal products coffeepots to skyscrapers.they help buid space vehiles and millions of other products ranging from oil drilling rigs to automobiles .In constrution,welders are virtually rebuilding the word ,extending subway ,building bridges,and helping to improve the environgment by building pollution control devices .the use of welding is practically unlimited.there is no lack of variety of type work that is done .Welders are employed in many industry groups.Machinery manufacturers are responsuble for agricultural,construction,and mining machinery.they are also involved in bulldozers ,sranes,material handing equipment ,food-processing machinery,papermaking and printing equipment ,textiles,and office machiney.The fabricated metal products compiles another group inculding manufacturers of pressure vessels ,heat exchangers,tanks,sheet metal,prefabricated metal buildings and architectural and ornamental work.Tansportation is divided into two major groups: manufacturers of transportation equipment except motor vehiles; And motor vehicles and equiment the first incudes shipbuilding ,aircraft,spacecraft,and railroads.the second incudes automobiles,truck,buses,trailers,and associated equipment.A small group of welders belongs to the group of repair services. This includes maintenance and repair on automobiles or refers to the welding performed on industrial and electrical machinery to repair worn parts.The mining, oil extraction, and gas extraction industries form yet another group. A large portion of the work involves drilling and extracting oil and gas or mining of ores, stone, sand and gravel.Welders are also employed in the primary metals industries to include steel mills, iron and steel foundries, smelting and refining plants. Much of this work is maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. Another group is the electrical and electronic equipment companies. Welding done by this group runs from work on electric generators, battery chargers, to household appliances.Public administration employs welders to performmaintenance welding that is done on utilities, bridges, government armories and bases, etc. Yet another group involves wholesale and retail establishments. These would include auto and agricultural equipment dealerships, metal service centers, and scrap yards.Probably the smallest group of welders, but perhaps those with the biggest impact on the public are the artist and sculptors. The St. Louis Arch is possibly one of the best known. 搭接接头(Lap joint);角接接头(Filit weld);T型接头(T-joint/Tee joint);最常用的是:对接接头(Butt joint is the most used one)2、对接接头:两焊件端面相对平行的接头(The joint whose welding suefaces of both welding parts are parallel is called butt joint.)2.1 不开坡口的对接接头(Butt joint without groove)2.1.1 薄钢板的焊接(Weiling of thin steel sheets)如果产品在厚度方向上不要求全焊透,可进行单面焊接,应必须保证焊缝的计算厚度H0.7,为板厚。如果要求产品在整个厚度上全部焊透,可在焊缝背面用碳弧气刨清跟后再进行焊接,即形成不开坡口的双面焊接对接接头。(If the product doesnt need full penetration of welding, we can take single-side welding, and must make sure that the caculating thickness is more than or equal to 0.7(is the thickness of steel sheets) , If full penetration of welding needed, we can use carbon arcgouging to back chipping at the back of weld, after which weiding can be taken, than the double-faced welding butt joint without groove is formed.)2.1.2 厚钢板的焊接(Weiling of thick steel sheets)开坡口的对接接头,用于钢板较厚而需要全焊透的焊件。(Butt joint with groove is used for thick welding parts which is needed full penetration of welding)第三节:坡口(Groove)1.坡口的几何尺寸(Geometrical dimension of groove)1.1 坡口面(Groove face/surface)焊件的坡口表面叫坡口面(The surface of groove is named groove face)1.2 坡口面的角度和坡口角度(groove face angle and groove angle) 焊件表面的垂直面与坡口之间的夹角叫做坡口面角度(The angle between the vertical surface of the welding part and the groove is called groove face angle. 两个坡口之间的角度叫做坡口角度(The angle between the two groove faces is called groove face).1.3 根部间隙(Root opening/clearance)在焊接前,接头根部之间留的预留的空隙叫根部间隙,根部间隙的作用在焊接打底焊道时,能保障根部可以焊透。(The clearance obligated for joint before welding is called root opning , whose function is to keep the root can be full penetration welded when backing weld is welded).1.4 钝边(Root face)焊件开坡口时,沿焊件方向未开坡口的端面部分叫钝边。 (When groove is made,the face without groove along the weiding part direction is called root face)1.5 根部半径(Root radius)在J型、U型坡口底部的半径叫根部半径。 (The radius at the bottom of the J-groove or V-groove is called root radius).第四节:1. 坡口的形式:根据坡口形状的不同,长用的有:I型(不开坡口),V型,X型,U型;(For the different of groove shape, we can classify the groove mainly into I-groove(without groove),v-groove,X-groove,U-groove.)V型坡口是最常用的坡口形式,便于加工,焊接时为单面焊,不用翻转焊件,但焊后容易变形。(V-groove is the most used one.which is easy to machine and no turn is needed, but distortion is easy to form)2.坡口的加工 常用方法:氧气切割(oxygen cutting),碳弧气刨(carbon arcgouging), 刨 削(planing), 车 削(turning)氧气切割:应用最广泛的一种,有手工、办自动、自动三种方法。(oxygen cutting:The most
