Ask the students to match each phrase with a picture by writing the letter in front of the correct phrase. Check the answers.Step II Pairwork (Section B: 1b)Get students work in pairs and talk about what they like to do on vacation using the words from the activity 1a.T: Now look at all activities on the blackboard. What do you like to do on vacation? What about you?S1: I like to relax at home.S2: I like to go fishing.S3: I like toT: OK. Now work in pairs and ask and answer the questions: What do you like to do on vacation?Step III Listening and speaking (Section B: 2a, 2b, 2c)In this step, students will do some listening and oral practice with the target language.T: Jeff Black is a reporter from Lives of the very Famous magazine. Hu Yu is a very famous person. Now Jeff is interviewing He Yu. Lets listen and find out Whats the topic of the interview? What questions does the reporter ask He Yu ?Play the tape, then ask students.T: Whats the topic of the interview?S: Vacation plans.T: Right! Now read the questions in activity 2a, then listen to the tape again and check the questions the reporter asks. Play the tape again .Check the answers.T: So, what are He Yus answers to these questions? Listen again and write the key words on the lines. Play the tape a third time, then check the answers.Step III Role playGet students role play the interview in pairs. One is the reporter, and the other is He Yu. Ask several pairs to act out before the class.You can begin like this:A:Hello,.May I ask you some questions about your vacation plans?B:Yes.A:What are you doing ?Step IV Homework Suppose youre a reporter from CCTV. You want to know something about students winter vacation plans.
