This class well learn something about the weather and the activities that people are doing. Now Ill show you some pictures, do you know what these signs mean?Show the pictures to the students one by one and let them say. Lets look at 1a, then match the words with the pictures.Check the answers.Stick the picture on the blackboard and talk about it.T: Hows the weather in picture a?Ss: Its rainy.T: Hows the weather in picture b?Ss: Its sunny.Ask and answer questions about the rest pictures in the same way.Brief explanation:Rain and snow can also be verbs, so we can also say Its rainy./ Its snowy. in these way: Its raining./ Its snowing.(此教学步骤借助生动形象的图片,通过谈论图片内容,操练本课时的重点句型:How s the weather? Its ?等。由于学生们对图片很感兴趣,很多同学都很积极的参与谈论图片的内容。)Step three listening ( 1b )1. listen and write T: Now well do some listening practice, first Lets learn some new words.Show the word-cards to teach the two city names:Moscow BostonT: Now well listen to four conversations about the weather in some cities and youll have to write these city names in the boxes above. First please listen and pay attention to the names of these cities.Play the recording for the first time. Ask the students to repeat the city names after the recording.Play the recording for the second time, ask the students to write the city names in the box.Check the answers.1. A little girl is reading a book pleasantly.In picture 2, its snowy. Lin Junjie is listening to music.In picture 3, its raining. A little girl is sleeping.In picture 4, its cloudy. Some football players are playing soccer.In picture 5, its snowing heavily.
