Today Im very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. this lesson is taken from unit 3 ,senior one ,peoples press. in this lesson ,it focuses on the study of grammar. It is made up of four parts.Part 1 My understanding of this lessonThe analysis of the teaching material:This lesson is about the study of grammar. It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit. the present continuous Tense for future actionsIs important point in the study of grammar of this unit.it is also presented repeatedly in Warming up,reading,learning about language and using language on purpose by editor. the study of grammar of this unit is the fifth lesson.Teaching aims:1、Get the students to learn the usage of the present continuous Tense for future actions2、Let the students learn the ways to express good wishes and farewells, and the means of transportation.Ability aims:Enable the students to know how to express good wishes and farewells.Emotional aim:Enable the students to communicate with others well by properly using the patterns to express good wishes and farewells.Teaching important point:Get the students to master the usage of the present continuousTense for future actions.Teaching difficult point:Enable the students learn how to use the present continuous tense to express future actions.Something about the Ss:1. The Ss have learned the sentence structure “be doing” for present .2. Maybe they dont know the sentence structure can be used for future actions.3. They dont often use English to express themselves and communicate with others.4. Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes.Part 2 My teaching theories, methods and aidsBefore dealing with this lesson, Ill do my best to carry out the following theories: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director; Combine the language structures with the language functions; Let the students observefinding outanalyzemake conclusions consolidatepracticeteaching method:Observe and speak methodQuestion-and-answer activity teaching methodPair work or individual work methodTeaching aids:1. multimedia2. the blackboardPart 3. Teaching steps / proceduresStep 1 GreetingsGreet the whole class as usual.Step 2.Show them some pictures and let them make sentences with the sentence structure “will do “ and then lead in the grammar of this unit “the present continuous for future actions” .purpose:let students observe and find out the form and significance of the present continuous tense for future actions.Step2Turn back to the study of the dialogue. ask students to read the dialogue quickly by themselves. and then answer the following tasks.Firstly, answer the two questions.Secondly ,underline the sentences used the sentence structure “be doing for future actions.” and read them out loudly.Thirdly, fill the information blanks using the sentence structure “be doing for future actions.”Purpose: let students master the general meaning of this dialogue and realize the usage of the sentence structure “be doing for future actions.” such as when and how it can be used.Step 3practice Activity 1:do some exercises. translate the Chinese to English using the sentence structure “be doing”.Activity 2: oral practice. Everyone has his own plans for the future, use the present continuous Tense to express you
