Good morning my distinguished judges It s my great honor to be here sharing my lesson with you Okay now let s begin I ll be ready to begin this with six parts the analysis of teaching material the teaching aims the teaching content the teaching approaches the teaching procedures and blackboard design Part I Analysis of Teaching Material First of all let me talk about part I Analysis of teaching material The content of my lesson is Go for it for junior students Unit11 Could you please clean your room This unit is about making polite requests and asking for permission By studying this unit we ll enable students to develop the ability to treat others politely and learn to help parents with housework Moreover it aims to develop a sense of competing with others From this lesson it starts making conversations with partner As we all know speaking belongs to the output during the process of language learning The output has great effect on input What s more after learning the polite requests and permission students may have a better understanding of English Therefore this lesson is so important for them If students can master it well it will be a great help for their further life Part II Teaching Aims According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus and after studying the teaching material the teaching aims are followings 1 Knowledge objects Students can master some important words and expressions Students can identify the varieties of housework Students can learn how to make polite requests 2 Ability objects To guide students to set up effective speaking skills To develop students reading ability esp skimming and scanning To train students ability of active studying and cooperating 3 Emotional objects To make Students notice more about their parents and help them To arouse students interests in learning English To develop students patriotic consciousness Part III Teaching content 1 Pre reading Design two questions to arouse students interests 2 While reading Help students to find the main grammar focus 3 Post reading Finish the exercise Part IV Teaching approaches As we all know a good teaching requires that the teacher should help students develop the sense of English language So for achieving those teaching aims I ll use the following methods according to modern social communication teaching theories 1 Task based Teaching Method 2 Communicative Teaching Method Part V Teaching procedures Step1 Revision 10mins 1 students listen to the tapes and find the chores to match the pictures 2 students discuss and share the chores they do at home 3 students volunteer to share their discussion 4 Teacher summarizes and writes the chores on blackboard and introduce the main structure Could you please do Familiarize students with the topic of the text draw their interest and motivation Step 2 learn the new words 15mins 1 Read and practice with students about new words and phrases on ppt 2 Use the structure Could you please do to make sentences 3 Discuss with neighbors about the chores students like or don t like Step 3 A task 10mins 1 Pair work Make a dialogue Imagine one student is having a party Ask your partner for help with the new phrases 2 Volunteers to present the dialogue Step 4 More work 10mins Imagine one student is going to move to a new house Write an e mail message to a friend and ask him or her for help Step 5 Homework Part VI Blackboard design Unit 11 Could you please clean your room Chores do the dishes sweep the floor take out of the trash make the bed fold the clothes clean the living room Making requests Could you please Yes sure Would you mind Of course not No matter which step is taken the purpose is to provide the
