Why I WANT TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?Honorable teachers,ladies and gentlemen,Good afternoon!Its a great honor for me to have a chance to speak to you here today.Days ago,when I received the topics of the English Speech Contest for today,I asked myself that questionwhether I want to be a millionaire.Without any hesitation,I answered to myself ”Why not?Of course I do want to be a millionaire!”Then another question came upwhy?If I were a millionaire,I could buy the coolest clothes which I were not willing to buy in the past accounting for the prohibitive label.If I were a millionaire, I could afford a house in Beijing.Oh sorry,perhaps just a toilet,but thats better than nothing,right?If I were a millionaire,maybe I could travel to different parts of world to explore exotic cultures and greatly broaden my horizon.If I were a millionaire, I wouldnt hide my passion for the girl I wanted to be with because I thought I was not materially strong to give her happiness.If I became a millionaire,I could make many things into reality for myself.Oh,no!It seems that there is something wrong,Did I do all the thingswhich I mentioned just now for myself?That doesnt make sense.Then I resigned myself to meditation again.Maybe I could find a way to use this money in a more meaningful way.If I were a millionaire,first I should spare some to my beloved parents.I would use one-tenth of it to buy a few things for my parents which they were reluctant to buy in their daily life,I wanted them to enjoy the life after years of hard work.For the rest of money, I would buy an educational insurance for myself so my parents neednt worry about my tuition fees.Maybe you would reckon me as a selfish person and ask me why I dont spare any for those who are in need.Beacause there are so many people in need and even though I donate all of it to the poor,it doesnt really help the situation.In consideration of this ,I think only if I invest this money in a more sensible way can I make full use of it,so I take myself as an investee.And as you know,the money are enough for me to finish my stages of bacherlor,master and doctor without the pressure of money.After I have become a better person, I will be repaid more with my talent.Then I can convert a million into much more than a million and help the needy people.Yes,I want to be a millionaire! With the money,I could change myself into a more capable man to set a Hope School helping those kids in the remote villages having no access to education.Yes,I want to be a millionaire!With the money, I could be more influential so that I can appeal to people for protecting our environment or giving a hand to those in need in order to promote the harmony of the whole society.Yes,I want to be a millionaire! With the money,I could attach new dreaming wings to those injured children by attaching artificial limbs and help poor kids living in a world of darkness get the chance to have an operation.Yes,I want to be a millionaire! With the money,I could help those who are afflicted flkt with diseases walking back to health.Yes,I want to be a millionaire!
