开大会，筹备忙 英语杂志AMrs. Davis and Hannah plan togetherMrs. Davis: So before we get to the way in which we leteveryone know what days well be doing theseminars, we should talk about lunch.Hannah: Ever since I found out you were putting me on theplanning 1)committee I have been giving thismatter serious thought.Mrs. Davis: I hoped you might.Hannah: So how would you feel instead of having four plateselections for people to choose from, if instead wedid a light sandwich, fruit and vegetable 2)buffet?Mrs. Davis: What do you mean?Hannah: Well I figure people cant really complain if theymake their food themselves and if we give themenough variety, they cant say after that there wasnothing for them to eat.Mrs. Davis: So you mean have a selection of sandwiches, fruitsand vegetables for them to choose from?BHannah: Even more than that, what about a selection ofbreads, 3)buns and wraps, various 4)toppingsand sauces, sliced meats, 5)tuna, egg salad and 6)veggies, allowing people to create their ownsandwich completely?Mrs. Davis: What a 7)novel idea! And I take your point.People can hardly complain about what went intotheir sandwich if they are the ones who built itthemselves.Hannah: I also think it can cut down on wasted food, sincelast year so much of what people didnt care forwound up thrown out because it had already beenserved to them on their plate.Mrs. Davis: And well save money by not requiring as manystaff to serve each person from the kitchen. This isa great idea Hannah.Hannah: Some of that saving might go back into food costdue to giving people more choice, but I dont thinkthis will cost the company more than last year.Mrs. Davis: I hope Martin and June have been equally ascreative. Lets continue.Mrs. Davis and Hannah continue their discussionCMrs. Davis, Hannah, Martin and June meet again.Mrs. Davis: To Martin and June So I hope your session wasproductive.Martin: Very much so.
