大学英语C(全新版)教学大纲课程编号:C0320CX 课程类型:公共基础课程名称:大学英语C 英文名称:College English C学 分:4 适用专业:2011级各专业第一部分 大纲说明一、课程的性质、目的及任务大学英语是高等教育的一个有机组成部分,大学英语课程是我院学生的必修课。大学英语是以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容,以外语教学理论为指导,并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。大学英语的教学目的是培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,使他们在今后的工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流,同时增强其自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,以适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要。本课程的任务是让学生在大学二年级第一学期内,修完大学英语(全新版)第三册的全部内容,从而在词汇以及听、说、读、写、译等六个方面达到本大纲的要求。二、课程的基本要求1、推荐词汇量:掌握的词汇量应达到4,100个单词,其中2,100个单词为积极词汇,即要求学生能够在认知的基础上学会熟练运用,包括口头和书面表达两个方面。2、听力理解能力:能听懂日常英语谈话和一般性题材讲座,能基本听懂英语节目,语速为每分钟140词左右;3、口语表达能力:能在学习过程中用英语交流,并能就某一主题进行讨论,能就日常话题和英语国家人士进行交谈,能就所熟悉的话题经准备后作简短发言,表达比较清楚,语音、语调基本正确。4、阅读理解能力:能基本读懂一般性题材的英文文章,阅读速度达到每分钟75词。在快速阅读篇幅较长、难度略低的材料时,阅读速度达到每分钟105词。能基本读懂国内英文报刊,掌握中心意思,理解主要事实和有关细节。能读懂工作、生活中常见的应用文体的材料。能在阅读中使用有效的阅读方法。5、书面表达能力:能完成一般性写作任务,能描述个人经历、观感、情感和发生的事件等,能写常见的应用文,能就一般性话题或提纲在半小时内写出140词的短文,内容基本完整,用词恰当,语意连贯。能掌握基本的写作技能。6、翻译能力:能借助词典对题材熟悉的文章进行英汉互译,英汉译速为每小时310英语单词,汉英译速为每小时260个汉字。译文基本流畅,能在翻译时使用适当的翻译技巧。三、本课程与相关课程的联系:本课程的前续课程是大学英语B。要求学生在学习该课程前必须系统地修完大学英语B,掌握了大约3300个左右的英语基本词汇及相应的语法知识。本课程的后继课程为大学英语D。四、学时分配本课程学分为4学分,建议开设64学时(在保证学分的前提下可以微调)。章(节)内容讲课学时实验(上机)学时课堂讨论(习题课)学时现场教学学时总学时综合教程 Unit1 Changes in the Way We Live66听说教程 Unit 1 ParentsUnit 2 Coincidence22综合教程 Unit 2 Civil-rights Heroes66听说教程 Unit 3 CourageUnit 4 Marriage22综合教程 Unit 3 Security66听说教程 Unit 5 YouthUnit 6 Stress22综合教程Unit4 Imagination and Creativity66听说教程 Unit 7 The Business WorldUnit 8 The Environment22综合教程 Unit 5 Giving thanks66听说教程 Unit 9 The Single CurrencyUnit 10 The Cinema22综合教程 Unit 6 The Human Touch66听说教程 Unit 11 Left-handednessUnit 12 Biodiversity22综合教程 Unit 7 Making a Living66听说教程 Unit 13 Inventions112综合教程 Unit 8 Cloning66听说教程 Unit 14 Women112合计62264五、教材与参考书 使用教材:1. 全新版大学英语(第二版)综合教程 第三册, 主编: 季佩英 吴晓真 陈进,上海外语教育出版社出版,2010年7月2. 全新版大学英语(第二版)听说教程第三册, 主编:虞苏美 李慧琴,上海外语教育出版社出版, 2010年7月3. 全新版大学英语(第二版)阅读教程(通用版) 第三册, 主编:张勇先,上海外语教育出版社出版, 2010年7月4. 全新版大学英语(第二版)快速阅读 第三册, 主编:郭杰克,上海外语教育出版社出版, 2010年7月主要参考书(资料):1、大学英语课程教学要求, 教育部高等教育司,上海外语教育出版社出版,2007年8月第1版2、大学英语(第三版)精读 第三册,主编:董亚芬,上海外语教育出版社出版,2006年6月第1版大学英语(第三版)听说 第三册, 主编:董亚芬,上海外语教育出版社出版,2006年7月第1版3、新视野大学英语读写教程第三册,主编: 郑树堂,外语教学与研究出版社,2008年新视野大学英语视听说教程第三册,主编:郑树堂,外语教学与研究出版社,2011年4、Summers, D. Oxford University Advanced Learners English-Chinese Dictionary, Oxford University Press, 1997六、教学方法与手段大学英语教学要注重培养学生听、说、读、写等综合能力。因此, 要采用多种教学方法和手段, 如多媒体, 语音室, 录音机, 同时积极组织学生参加英语演讲, 竞赛等形式多样的课外活动, 提高他们学习英语的兴趣和主动性、积极性,创造出良好的英语学习氛围和环境。七、课程考核方式 本课程期末考试采用闭卷形式,全院统考。成绩评定采用平时成绩考核和期末考试成绩相结合的方式。平时成绩占30,期末考试占70,平时成绩由课堂出勤率、课堂讨论发言、平时作业等要素组成。第二部分 课程内容大纲综合教程 Unit 1 Changes in the Way We live(6学时) Teaching Aims1. grasp the main idea ( tolerance for solitude and energy made it possible for the writers family to enjoy their pleasant but sometimes harsh country life);2. appreciate the various techniques employed by the writer;3. master the key language points and grammatical structures in the text; 4. conduct a series of reading, listening, speaking and writing activities related to the theme of the unit.
