西北师范大学英语专业课程教学大纲英语学习技能责任教师：白丽梅一、 说明（一） 课程性质英语学习技能是西北师范大学外语学院英语教育专业的必修课。供英语专业一年级学生第一学期使用，也可供其它专业学生选修。本课程以英语学习策略论（文秋芳，1996，上海外语教育出版社）和英语学习方法指津（范谊，2002，上海外语教育出版社）为参考，教师自编讲义进行授课。本课程共分12个单元，一学期完成。本课程是一门介绍学习方法与策略的课程。传统的外语教育片面强调语言知识的学习而忽略了学习方法、学习策略等高级技能的培养，其直接结果是学生不会有效地学习。在教学中要培养学生在学习过程中有效地管理自己，并形成有效的学习策略的能力，并能根据自己的需要、水平、时间和条件，选择适合自己的学习方式。（二） 教学目的教育的根本目标是使学生成为独立自主、有效的学习者。教会学生如何学习、培养学生有效的学习策略，不仅有利于他们提高学习效果，减轻学习负担，而且能够大面积地提高教育质量。要使学生在英语学习过程中形成有效的学习策略，教师必须进行适当的引导和指导。本课程旨在向学生介绍多种英语学习方法，使学生能根据自身的条件、水平、学习目的、学习环境等因素来选择适合自己的学习方法。本课程面向一年级新生。通过学习本课程，应达到以下要求： 1、 学习管理方面能够使用管理方法，即有效地组织和安排学习，包括确立目标、制订计划、选择方法、监控学习过程、评价学习方法的成效、调整学习行为、克服消极情感因素等。2、 学习方法方面通过学习方法、策略的培训与指导，能够掌握学习语音、词汇、语法的方法以及听、说、读、写四项语言技能训练的学习策略，有效地提高学习效果。3、 工具书使用方面能了解并使用各种英汉词典、部分英英词典、同义词词典、以及百科全书等各类工具书，并有效地通过计算机网络查阅资料，具备独立解决语言问题和部分知识方面的疑难问题的能力。（三） 教学内容本课程的教学重点如下：1、 帮助学生建立正确的学习态度和学习观念，明确管理学习的重要性，如确立目标、制订计划、选择方法等，形成良好的学习习惯，学会综合利用影响学习效果的各种因素。2、 从知识的角度讲，英语学习是掌握语音、词汇和语法。从技能的角度讲，英语学习是提高听、说、读、写的能力。从这两个角度，使学生明确学习语音、词汇、语法的方法和学习听、说、读、写四种技能的方法。每个部分不仅讨论学什么，更重要的是讨论怎样学，从学习者的认知和行为层面，仔细描写和介绍学习经验和学习方法的操作步骤。3、 帮助学生了解并熟悉对图书馆及各种必备参考书、工具书的使用，培养独立解决问题的能力。（四） 教学时数按教学计划规定，本课程的学习时间是一学期，总学时为36学时，每周2学时。学分2学分。进度大体上为一个单元3学时，并可根据内容多少进行适当调整。一学期内至少有一次自由讨论课。（五） 教学方式本课程采用启发式、讨论式、发现式和研究式的教学方法，充分调动学生学习的积极性，激发学生的学习动机，最大限度地让学生参与学习的全过程。（六） 作业与测试本课程作业由任课教师随堂布置，作业成绩记入平时成绩。作业的布置应以实践学习方法为主。本课程为考查课。测试应按教学大纲的要求，将考核重点放在学生是否掌握并有效地使用一定的学习方法上。测试分为随堂测试和期末考试两部分。随堂测试由任课教师随堂进行，成绩依据学生的课堂表现来评定。期末考试为口、笔试相结合。可就学习方法由教师命题或由学生自行命题，撰写学习体会。随之进行口头陈述，并接受教师及同学提问。成绩根据口、笔试的综合表现来评定。平时成绩占总成绩的15，课堂测试占总成绩的15，期末考试占总成绩的70。二、 本文Unit 1 Introduction教学要点：通过学习本章，对本课程的课程性质、教学目的、教学安排有一个大致的了解。教学时数：1学时。教学内容：I.
