It is basically made up of 5 parts.Part 1 the analysis of the teaching materialThis is the Teaching aims:1.Knowledge aim:Understand the main idea of the text 2.Ability aim:Retell the Story in their own words3.Emotional aim:Teaching important points/ Key points:Teaching difficult points:Use your own words to retell the text Discussion Part 2 Something about the Ss1.The Ss have known something about.through the Internet and other ways.2.They are lack of vocabulary.3.They dont often use English to express themselves and communicate with others.4.Some Ss are not active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes.Part 3 Teaching theories, methods and aidsTeaching theories:Before dealing with this lesson, I will try my best to carry out the following theories:Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as a director;Combine the language structures with the language functions;Let the Ss receive some moral educations while learning English.Teaching methods:Double activities teaching method Question-and-answer activity teaching method Watch-and-listen activity teaching methodFree discussion methodPair work or individual workTeaching aids:1.a projector2.a tape recorder3.multimedia4.the blackboardPart 4 Teaching proceduresI have designed the following steps to train the Sss listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, especially the reading ability. There are . steps in total.Step 1 GreetingsStep 2 RevisionStep 3 Lead-in and preparationShow the Ss some pictures and let them talk with each other. Then use the pictures to learn new words, such as ,.Purpose: Arouse the Ss interest of studyResult: Bring in the new subjectStep 4 Fast readingAsk the Ss to read the passage as quick as they can and show some questions on the screen to let them get the main idea of each paragraph.Method: read the passage individually and do question-and-answer activityPurpose: Improve the Sss ability of extensive readingResult: Let the Ss get the each paragraphStep 5 Listening (Book closed)1.Listen to the tape and do exercise.Purpose: Train the Ss listening ability and prepare for the later exercisesStep 6 Intensive readingAsk to the Ss to read the passage carefully again and answer some detailed questions on the screen.1.2.3.Purpose: improve the Ss ability of intensive reading or depth reading or study reading which means read for the detailed information. To find out some difficult sentences and details of the textStep 7 Preparation of the details of the text on the screen (语法点)1.2.3.4.Purpose: improve the Ss ability of comprehending and using language Step 8 Consolidation 1.Find out the topic sentences of each paragraph.2.Retell the passage according to the topic sentences.Purpose: exam that whether the Ss understand the whole passage or not. Whats more, train the Ss ability of introducing and analyzing expression.Step 9 DiscussionIn order to let them have free choice, give them other topic.Purpose: give them some moral education about.Let them knowStep 10 HomeworkWrite an article about.Purpose: train the Ss ability of writing and the sprit of do-it-yourself by looking up the information on their own.Part 5 Blackboard designIn my opinion, the blackboard design can reflect the teachers mastering of the text and lead the Ss to master the text easily.
