Divide the class into groups.Each group is asked to write down as many things as they can think of about what teenagers are or arent allowed to do. See which group can think of the most items for each category.Step 2 PresentationI.1a This activity reviews the use of always, sometimes, usually and never.Help students to say. The boy is late for class. Invite a student to read the four questions in the box to the class.Read the instructions and remind students of the exact meanings of the adverbs of frequency.Ask students to write A after things they always do, U after things they usually do, S after things they sometimes do and N for things they never do.II. 1b This activity provides oral practice using the target language.Point out the sample conversation. Ask a pair of students to say it to the class.As the pairs work together, walk around the room offering help if necessary.Ask several pairs to share their conversations with the class.Play the record two times ask the students to finish the exercises in 1c and 1d. Then check the answers.III.2a This activity provides practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.IV.2b This activity provides reading practice using the target language.Call students attention to the article.Read it to the class.Point to the four questions in 2c. Elicit the first answer from the class. Ask students to read the article again and answer the questions individually.Check the answers.Step3 Consolidation and extension 2d Call students attention to the statements in the box. Ask them to finish them and then check the answers. Step 4 Summary1.对人和事的“要求”有不同(1)be strict with sb. 意为“对某人要求严格”。(2)be strict in sth. 意为“对某事要求严格”。Parents should not be too strict with teenagers. 父母不应该对青少年过于严厉。Miss Yang is strict with her students, and she is also strict in her work. 杨老师对学生严格, 对工作也很严格。2. get in the way of (1)get/be in the way of意为“妨碍”, 后跟名词、代词、动名词。(2)get/be in the way(of)意为“挡道”。But sometimes these can get in the way of their schoolwork. 但有时候这些也会妨碍他们的学业。Noises can get in the way of thinking. 噪音会妨碍思考。Take the box away. It gets/is in the way. 把那个箱子拿走。它挡路了。3.have nothing against意为“毫不反对”, 其中against是介词, 常和be构成短语, be against意为“反对”, 其反义短语是be for意为“支持”。【归纳拓展】 against的其他用法(1)逆; 对着Its difficult to sail against the current. 逆水行舟很难。(2)倚; 靠His desk is against the wall. 他的办公桌靠墙放着。Work as the teacher says.Look at the picture and say what is happening in the picture.Students finish the task on their own in 1a.Pair work.Talk with his/ her partner about his/ her answers in Activity 1a.Match the sentence parts as t
