My name is _.Whats your name? Then ,ask a student to answer the question.3 ,Introduce new charactersHold up your mask for Lulu. Say,“ This is Lulu.”Have the children say Lulu. Repeat this for Danny.Repeat several times, and have the children say the names.4,Model the dialogHold up your mask Mocky and say,“ This is Mocky.” Have the children repeat the sentence after you.Repeat the procedure for all the other masks(Ann, Ken, Mocky, UncleBooky, Lulu, and Danny).Holp up each of the masks in turn, and say, “This is(Lulu)”.Hold up the Mocky mask. Say,“This isn,t Ken. This is Mocky.” Say the sentences again, and have the children repeat them.Repeat the same procedure, using the Ann mask, and substituting another name. Repeat the procedure using the remaining masks.Hold up a mask but say nothing. Have the children make a sentence of their own.5,Talk about the storyStudent Book pages14and15Say to the children,“Open your books.”Show them what to do.Repeat the command and have the children open their books at pages 14 and 15.Ask these questions about the pictures:Picture 1:“Who can you see in the picture?” “What are they doing?” “What do you think they are talking about?”Picture3:“What are Ann, Ken, and Mocky doing?”Picture45:“Who do they meet?”Picture67:“Do they like him?”Picture8:“Who does Mocky see”Picture9:“How does Mocky feel?”Picture10:“Has Mocky made a mistake?”Picture11:“What is happening to Mocky?”1. Story:Student Book pages 14 and 151, Say ,“Now we ,re going to hear what the characters said.”Play the tape. Have the children look at the pictures as the tape is played.2, Play the tape again, pausing at each new picture. Have the children repeat the words before you move on to the next picture.3, Explain that people often say “Oh, no!”when they are surprised or worried. Come on! when they are surprised or worried. Come on! Means that you want someone to come with you. Super means you feel wonderful.4, Ask the children to hold up their own Uncle Booky and Mocky masks. Model the dialog again, using the correct mask.5, Have the children roleplay the dialog using their masks from Unit 1.6, Tell the children you are going to play the tape again, this time without stopping, Explain to the children that you would like them to say the words as each character says them on the tape.7,Summary.8.
