Martin.There are 7 parts of this book and its first part Game of Thrones was publiced by Chongqing Press in 1996 which was translated by QuChang. And now, five parts of this book has been published, which were adapted for TV plays.Because of the unique construction, wise wision, well-proportioned plots and vivid languages and so on, the book quickly conquered western literary world. And up to now, the fiction has been translated into more than 30 languages which have got a good deal of fans and won a prize in several countrys.The work mainly describs a story about a series of interconnected court battle, field war, travel adventure and magic struggle, which happens in a imaginary land called Westeros. The name “Ice and Fire” means the complex and contradictory mind. There are large amount of characters in this story with their own individuality, and none of them is the separate one who show their own heroism, devotion or foxy plot. On the contrary, everyone is a “real person”, who lives in the common world doing the particular choice. All I know about the fition is the first part called Game of Thrones, a book kicks off a long-long war.Four families were showed as the main role in the first part.House Stark whose badge is dire wolfEddard Stark, king of north, who is a father of six children, four boys and two girls, was killed by the new king Joffrey when he was appointed to be the hand of the old king Robert, because of his wise and mercy. Catelyn Tully Stark, Eddards wife, also a good mather, helped her son Robb revenge for Eddard. Robb Stark, the first son, shouldered the family after his father leave, though he was still a fifteen-year-old boy. Sansa Stark, a poor and yellow-bellied girl who had to witness her fathers die, dreamt a dream to be the queen. Arya Stark, a lively girl ,followed his father and finally escaped after Eddard die. Bran Stark, who like climbing so much was pushed down by Jaime and then get maimed. Jon Snow is a bastard who finally joint The Nights Watch.House Lannister whose badge is male lionTywin Lannister is a cruel father who has two sons and one daugther, and he has the great power.His first son Jaime Lannister is a brave and ambitious man who has killed the “mad king ”, Iris Targaryen and was called kingslayer. Cerser Lannister, a malevolent and mean queen, who loves her twins brother Jaime and manage to kill Robert, the king, Eddart and Jon Arryn, the hands of the king. Tyrion Lannister was a wise and courageous dwarf who was framed up by his brother and sister, the twins.House Baratheon with the badge buckRobbert is the king of seven kingdom, who loves Eddards little sister very much and finally killed by the rhinoceros. He has two brothers ,Stannis and Renly. Though he was full of valour and vigour, he get fat and arrogant after he won the throne. His two brothers fought to each other for the throne.House Targaryen with the badge three firedragonsAegon Targaryen was the first king of the seven kingdom. Thanks to the firedragons, he defeated all armys of seven kingdoms and unify the Westeros. And after hundreds of yearss rule, the last Targaryen king Aerys II Targaryen was killed by Lannister, leaving only two littleTargaryens escaped. When the two babies grew up, they try to revenge. The brother Viserys Targaryen was a cocky and cruel boy, who said he was the last son of the dragon everytme and finally killed by Khal Drogo the horse lords. Daenerys Targaryen was the sister, one of the two survivals. She is childlike and never loves war.
