Hold On To DreamsMy childhood was not as easy and relaxed as other children, because of the piano. However, the memory is saturated with sunshine when I see little girls play the piano every time. I still remember that moment I enjoyed the concert on the screen: a pianist who wore a soft and delicate chiffon dress was charming enough to overwhelm every audience. On top of that, I was fascinated in the rhythm and melody of the draftFor Aliceby the piano. The sound liked dazzling eyes that lit my way in my mind. At that time, I dreamed of being a pianist. It made me thrilled when I imagined I played my own piano elegantly and then intoxicated with the spirit of the music. At the age of six, my parents bought me a beautiful piano as my birthday gift. Actually, I knew that they used the money they saved for a long time. The brand of the piano is “ZhuJiang”, which is famous in China. The new piano had an awesome paint-black. I would clean dust on the keys once a week and when I finished practicing I would make the piano cover carefully all the time. My attention was gradually transferred to the marbles and hopscotch, because I felt more delighted to play games with my friends compared with playing the piano alone at home. My father found out my impatience and encouraged me that:” If you give it up, you would lose the opportunity to become a pianist. I hope it is going well on your study and you stick with the piano as well. You can handle these.” These words alerted me deeply. My father and I reached an agreement that I practiced at least three times a week, and tried my best to hold on it. With his help, I underwent the hardest time during the study of piano. In spite of the great pressure and competition from school, I kept telling myself that:” I could hold on and ultimately get my dreams to come true.” I kept practicing every week for about four years. Then I had a level eight of piano in China. I was very proud of that and myself. Especially, I did appreciate that my parents gave me the chance to know and fall in love with piano. The path to dreams may n
