Both contain statements about leaf blowers/leaf vacuums. On its 25th meeting, EK9 withdrew resolution EK9-BE-50 since it had been inconsistent with chapter 5.2 “Guards” of the standard EN 15503 (see item 16 of 24th meeting) which, in the meantime, covers the subject of accessibility of powered components on hand-held leaf blowers/leaf vacuums. Resolutions EK9-BE-32 and 50 are to be discussed or rather discussed again in WG 9.14 on whether they can be withdrawn or have to be updated. Sitzung Mitgeltende Unterlagen Sachstand Der Zugang zum Gefahrenbereich von Maschinen wird durch Schutztren abgesichert. Die Stellungsberwachung der Schutztren erfolgt mittels Positionsschalter. Falls Gefhrdungen durch den Nachlauf von Maschinenteilen bestehen, wird die Schutztr zustzlich solange durch eine Zuhaltung geschlossen gehalten, bis der sichere Zustand erreicht ist. Die Zuhaltefunktion ist hufig in den Positionsschalter integriert (Verriegelungseinrichtung mit Zuhaltung). Die Mechanik1) bisheriger Zuhaltungen ist einkanalig aufgebaut. Um die Sicherheitsfunktion Zuhaltung mit diesen Produkten auch in PL e realisieren zu knnen, ohne Redundanz vorsehen zu mssen, sind fr die einkanaligen mechanischen Bauteile Fehlerausschlsse notwendig. Frage: Ist eine Zuhaltung mit einkanaliger Mechanik1) fr Anwendungen gem Performance Level e geeignet? Erfahrungsaustauschkreis Maschinen“ im Rahmen des Produktsicherheitsgesetzes (ProdSG) - Festlegungen - EK9 2 - - - Lsungsvorschlag Ein Fehlerausschluss fr die Mechanik1) der Zuhaltefunktion ist auch in Anwendungen gem PL e mglich, sofern die Anforderungen des Anhang A 2 -soweit zutreffend- eingehalten bzw. angewendet werden. In diesem Fall ist weder eine Angabe eines DC noch die Betrachtung des CCF notwendig. Begrndung: Durch Anwendung der Anforderungen in Anhang A in 2 ist ein Fehlerausschluss fr die Mechanik1) der Zuhaltefunktion auch fr PL e gegeben. Es sind zustzlich die Anforderungen in 1, Abschnitt 6.2.2 (Hinweis in der Benutzerinformation) zu bercksichtigen. Tabelle D 8 von 2 ist nur auf Verriegelungseinrichtungen und nicht auf die Zuhaltefunktion anwendbar (siehe 1, Abs. 8.4). Anmerkung: Eine berwachung des Sperrmittels auf Bruch ist aufgrund des Fehlerausschlusses nicht notwendig. Beschluss Der EK9 stimmt der Beschlussvorlage zu. Kategorie C AK 5 1) Mechanik beinhaltet ausschlielich die mechanischen Bauteile, die die Zuhaltefunktion realisieren, z.B. das Sperrmittel, das zugehrige Gegenstck und je nach Ausfhrung ein Bettigungssystem. Eine eventuell vorhandene Fehlschliesicherung (wird eingesetzt, um die berwachung der Trstellung durch eine berwachung des Sperrmittels der Zuhaltung zu ersetzen) gehrt nicht zur Zuhaltefunktion, sondern zur Verriegelungseinrichtung. Damit fllt die Mechanik der Fehlschliesicherung nicht unter diesen Beschluss. Position monitoring of the protective doors is done by position switches. If there are hazards due to the overrun of machine parts, the protective door is additionally held close by a guard locking until the safe state is reached. The guard locking function is often integrated in the position switch (interlocking device with guard locking). The mechanism1) of present guard lockings has a single-channel structure.
