THERESEARCHANDDESIGNUSINGCADSYSTEMFORTHECLUTCHOFAUTOMOBILEClutchisusedtotransferandswitchofthepowerswhicharecomingfromtheengine.Inautomobile,clutchisconnectedwithengineandderailleur.Itcanshutofandstablytransferthepowerbetweenthem.Howtoreasonably,efectivelyandspeedilydesignclutchalwaysisthepursuingdestinationofallclutchfactories.TheappearanceofCADwhichistheabbreviationofcomputeraideddesignmakeitpossible.AutomobileCADistheforerunnerofCADallthetimes.CADisfistusedinautomotiveindustryandbecomemoreandmoreindivisiblewithCAM,CAEandCAPfurthermore,integrationisbecomingtoreality.Researchinghowtousecomputertoaidusdesigntheautomobileclutchandhowtodevelopausefulandadvancedautomobileclutchcomputeraideddesignsystem-abbreviationisACCADthatcanmakeasteadysystemframeworkforautomobilecultchintegrateddesignandmanufacturesystem.arethedestinationofthisthesis.ACCADsystemshouldfirstlybeabletoaidengineerdesignclutch,secondlytoaidengineeranalyzethedesignedclutch,finallytoorganizeandmanagethedataofdesign.Fromthelong-termconsiderationitshouldalsobeabletoaidworkshopmanufactureclutchandhelpmanagersuperviseallthelifecycleofclutch.Soitshouldhaveacorewhichcanintegrateallthesesubsystem.Engineeringdatabase(EDB)isjustforthisuseandUsingEDBtoconstructCIMSbecomeaninevitablecurrent.InordertoexpandACCADandrealizeclutchCIMSinthefutureACCADsystemalsoneedEDBasthecoretointegrateeachdesignandmanagementsubsystemintoawholesystem.AtthethirdchapterofthisthesisthetechnologyofEDBandhowtodesignautomobileclutchEDBareresearchedandautomobileclutchEDBissetupaccordingtotheframeworkofentiredatabase,projectdatabaseanddesigndatabase.Thetraditionalproceduresofthedesignofautomobileclutchare:selectingstoringcoeficient,designingclutchstructuretype,frictionflat,clutchsketch,assembledmoduleandeachpartofclutch.Inourcountry,alltheseprocedurearehandmade,butinthecomingyearswiththeapplicationofcomputeraideddrawingsoftwaresuchasAutoCADofAutoDeskcorp.engineeringdrawingcanbasicallybedonebycomputer.Butthedepictingcapabilityofthistwo-dimensionengineeringdrawingmoduleissodeficientthatitcanonlybeusedasdrawingsandcantbeusedtoanalyzebycomputer.AlongwiththeappearanceofB-Pmodelingandcurve-basedorsolid-basedmodeling,mechanicpartsaredenotedbythree-dimensionmodulewhichcanbeteraidengineerdesignandanalyzethem.Butthismodulelosespartsofthewholeinformationofthem,soitresultsinmuchdificultytointegrateaideddesignsubsystem,aidedmanufacturesubsystemandcomputeranalyzingsubsystem.Feature-basedmodelingcanjustmakeupthisshortcoming,andalsoifitcombineswithparameterdesigntechnologyitcanenhancethecapabilitynotonlyofdepictingbutalsooffastamending.Attheforthchapterofthisthesisthetechnologyoffeature-basedisresearchedandtheparametricfeature-basedsolidmodelsarecreateduponMDTthatisbelongingtoAutoDeskcorporation.Inordertoaidedengineerstodesignclutchfastercomputerisusedtosimulateengineerstousevariantdesigntechnologytodesignclutchproductsthatarebasedonoriginalmodels.Variantdesigntechnologyhassomeintelligence.IntelligentCADisadirectionofdevelopingCAD.AtthefifthchapterofthisthesisthetechnologyofvariantdesignisresearchedandvariantdesignofautomobileclutchisachievedonMDTbythetechnologyofparametertable-drivenandfeaturerestrainedBesidessomedegreeofintegrityandintelligenceACCADsystemshouldhavesomedegreeofautomation,thatistosaythatACCADcanautomaticallydesignclutchaccordingtoprimitivedesignrequests,analyze,checkandoptimizesomebasicparametersofclutch.Atthesixthchapterofthisthesisthecombiningmodelofclutchisanalyzed,someformulasofdesigningandcalculatingbasicparameterarededuced,theworkinginstancesofdiaphragmspringareanalyzedandthecharactersofload-distortionandstress-strainarecalculatedsimulativelybytheformulasofA-Lwhichareapprobatoryinternationallynowadays.Theoptimizationsofsomebasicparametersanddiaphragmspringarecarriedoutbymulti-bodyarithmeticinwhichdesigndestinations,designrestrictionsandtheprimitivevalueofdesignvariablescanbechangedaccordingtorealdemands.Instancesdeductionanddesigntemplatesareusedtodesignthemodelofeachpartofclutchandallthesemodelsareassembledautomaticallyafterthatbasicparametersandstructuretypearecompletedaccordingtoprimitivedesigndemands.Thedesigntemplatesarededucedinexistingdesigninstanceofclutchproductbyinteligentinstance-deducingtechnology.Thendesignerscanmendandto-and-frodesignthemtilltheycanmeetthedesigndemands.Socomputeraidedfunctionandmansinitiativecanbefullyenlarged,automaticdesignandmutualdesignarecombinedindeed.ItneedsnotonlymuchknowledgeofautomobileclutchdesignandCADbutalsomuchhighleverofsoftwaredesignandcomputerapplicationtoreallyrealizesuchacomplicateandadvancedACCADsystem.SoIalsoresearchedthemethodofobject-orientedandtheoperationsystemofWindowsandstudymanysortsofprogramdesignlanguage.ThetheoryofsoftwareengineeringisusedtoanalyzeACCADsysteminrequirement,functionstructure,flowchart,projectdesignandmoduledesign.ThesoftwaredevelopingtoolsofVisualBasicandVisualC+areusedtodesignandimplementtheACCADsystem.Yi-Dongclutchcorporationhaveappliedittodesignclutch.PracticeprovesthattheACCADsystemcanaiddesignersto
