1、语法讲解之状语从句,含义及分类,状语从句主要用来修饰主句或主句的谓语。一般可分为九大类，分别表示时间、地点、原因、目的、结果、条件、让步、比较和方式,时间状语从句,定义：指从句在句中作时间状语。 引导词：when, whenever, as, while, since, till, until, before, after, as soon as, once等 基本用法,英语中时间关系表达法,Examples,After Christmas and New Year comes the Chinese lunar New Year - the Spring Festival. 4、 bought a lot of things while spending their holidays in Paris,when,When可指一段时间，也可指一点时间，既可指一时性的动作，也可表示持续的动作，因此其所引导的时间状语从句的谓语动词既可以用延续性动词，又可以用瞬间动词，其所引导的动作既可以发生在主句动作之前，也可以发生在主句动作之后，还可以表示与主句动作同时发生,When I was teaching in that college, I used to go to the seashore on Sundays.我在那所大学教书时，周日经常去海边玩。（延续性动词，一段时间

While he was in London, he made a lot of friends there. While：也可做并列连词，表示

6、对照的意思。E.g. While we were watching TV, mother was cooking in the kitchen. While（表示让步），尽管虽然 E.g. While I understand what you say, I cant agree with you,as,as表时间，与when相似，引导持续性动作，但侧重强调主从句动作同点或同段进行，可译为“一边一边”。 He hurried home, looking behind as he went.
