3、ion of ci-poems composed by Li Qingzhao, and reflects his theory of “beauty in sense, sound and form” is more targeted to the Chinese poetry translation, as well as finds the translation skills of Song Ci, so as to provide the west readers with superior translation versions.意义:宋词是中国几千年古典文化的珍贵遗产和积淀，以

4、其独特的艺术魅力在文学史上占有重要地位。而李清照是我国历史上杰出的女作家，一生跨越南北两宋，对我国古典诗词发展产生了深远影响，是中国古代文学创作的代表。因此，对其进行翻译研究有助于把中国文化更好的对外传播。此外，用功能对等理论作为理论基础，从不同方面分析许渊冲对李清照词的翻译，从而对李清照的词以及宋词有更好的研究。Significance: Song Ci is the precious heritage and accumulation of Chinese classical culture for thousands of years, occupying an important po

5、sition in the history of literature with its unique artistic charm. Li Qingzhao is one of the most outstanding female writers in ancient China. Her life spans both North and South Song dynasties. She has a profound influence on the development of classical Chinese poems and is representative of Chin

6、ese ancient literature. Therefore, the study of its translation will help to better spread the Chinese culture. Furthermore, with the Functional Equivalence Theory as the theoretical basis, we choose analyzing Xu Yuanchongs translation of Li Qingzhaos Ci poems from different aspects; we intend to fi

7、nd possible rules and patterns in translation of Li Qingzhaos Ci poems. All these efforts are of great significance on the translation of Li Qingzhaos Ci poems and Song Ci poems as a whole.本研究的理论意义（国内外文献综述）:Domestic Research:The first translation of Ci Poems of Li Qingzhao was done by Bing Xin in he

8、r graduate thesis for a masters degree in 1926, in which she translates twenty five Ci Poems of Li Qingzhao. Chu Dagao was also among the earliest to introduce Li Qingzhaos Ci Poems into the English world. From then on, it was until 1960s that appeared two translated versions and all the translated

9、versions were published in America. Till now in inland Xu Yuanchong is the only who has translated all the sixty Ci Poems of Li Qingzhao in Literature and Translation published in 2003. As the translation practice proceeded in China, the translation studies on Li Qingzhao came into being in the earl

10、y 1980s. In 1981, Xu Yuanchong published a research article, The Criteria of Translation in which he introduced the famous “Three Beauties” Theory. From the very start, Prof. Xu set a very high standard of poetry translation “beauty in sense, beauty in sound and beauty in form”. It is a very concret

11、e and comprehensive theory of poetry translation.国外研究： As a matter of fact, scholars abroad have also made a thorough and overall study over the translation of Li Qingzhaos Ci. Of all these overseas translators, Kenneth is definitely one of the prominent ones in bringing Lis works to the western wor

12、ld. With San Francisco Renaissance as the historic background, Kenneth took his first attempt to translate 7 of Lis Ci Poems in 1956, which proved to be a failure later as he tended to recreate the Ci Poems and make adaptations to an excessive extent, resulting in many mistranslations in his renditi

13、ons. Although many foreign scholars have translated Li Qingzhaos Ci Poems by adopting certain strategy with their own standards in guiding their translations, they have seldom proposed strong theories as domestic scholars have done. Eugene A. Nida is an extraordinary linguist, translator and transla

14、tion theorist. The term “functional equivalence” was given by him, which has exerted a tremendous influence in the world. The concept of functional equivalence was called “dynamic equivalence” at first. The term “dynamic” has been misunderstood by some persons as referring only to something which ha

15、s impact, thus “functional equivalence” is used instead.
