38、e as sth. is happening” . 只用于指一个时间段(只能与延续性动词连用),表示主句与从句动作同时发生。“while”也可以作为名词来使用,表示“一段时间, 一会儿”,如:for a while, after a while 。2. “When” means “at or during the time that”.它既可指一个时间点,又可指一个时间段;可与延续性动词连用,也可与非延续性动词连用。when强调at that time,引导的从句中可以使用瞬间动词,也可以用延续动词(进行时态);while引导的从句中多用延续动词(进行时态)。3. as多用于口语,强调at t

39、he same time, 指两个动作同时或先后发生。4. as soon as, 表示主句的动作紧接着从句的动作而发生。如:I will give him the message as soon as I see him. (我一看到他,就告诉他这个消息。)5. “not until” 与“until”:前者表示“直到才”,指主句的动作在从句所表示的时间才开始,谓语一般用非延续性动词;而后者则表示主句的动作在从句所表示的时间之前就开始,并且一直持续到该时间为止,其谓语一般用持续性动词。6. “主将从现”:即主句用一般将来时态,时间状语从句只能用一般现在时。7. 从句的位置:时间状语从句放在主
