As we all know, reading has a great effect on speaking and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching

4、material.2. Teaching aimsFor knowledge aim,Ss can learn the new words and new phrases such as announce, hoax, discovery, cancel, lady, officer and sell out by the end of this lesson. And understand the main idea of the article.For ability aim,Ss will improve their reading skills: they will learn to

5、skim for the main idea of the article and scan for the specific information. Also they will enlarge the relative knowledge about western festivals by reading more materials in library or from internet.For emotional aim,I aim to develop Ssspirit of cooperation through teamwork and group-discussion.
