2、he beautiful sceneries and different cultures in australia, students are led to learn some new expressions and the attributive clauses with “that”. as we all know, traveling is a good topic that students are all interested in. so it is good for them to master the key points and the difficult grammar
3、.教学目标1. language is for communication, so this class is designed to improve students' four skills. it especially emphasizes on reading abilities. and it helps students to understand the different cultures in other countries and it improves students' abilities to discover, analyze and solve t
4、he problems.2. teaching aims1) knowledge objectsa. to help students know the spelling and usage of the following new words and expressions: aborigine, spirit, relative, ham, lamb, cricket, rugby, coast, field, desert, be similar to, be full of, have a good temper.b. to help students learn to use the
5、 attributive clauses with "that" to describe things.2) ability objectsa. to help students understand articles in english about traveling and get the main idea and important details.b. to train students5 abilities of using the attributive clauses to describe things.c. to develop students9 a

7、warming up1. lead in by a video of australia, and ask: what do you know about australia?2. show a picture of a person's shadow, and ask: who is she?purpose: it is important to arouse students, interest in this class. they are sure to be interested in their teacher's activities. it provides s
8、ituations to predict what we are going to learn in this class.step 2 pre-readingshow some pictures and teach the new words in the letter from different aspects.people: aborigine, relative, be like.food and drink: grape, lamb, ham, wine.sports: rugby, cricketscenery: desert. uluru / ayers rockpurpose
9、: in this step, the students learn the new words and get ready for the whole passage that they are going to read.step 3 while-reading1. fast readingget the students to read the whole letter quickly and match the main idea with each paragraph and then check out.purpose: in this step, students can get
10、 the general idea of the whole passage and the main idea of each paragraph. thus they are getting familiar with a letter about traveling.2. careful reading1) ask the students to read paragraph 1 and fill in the chart.a. ask the students to find information about uluru and aborigine.b. ask the studen
