Later, Jack returned to school. But he didnt stay long. In the year 1897, he went

3、 to Alaska to find gold. Instead of getting much gold, he found ideas for his books and stories. He went back home and began to write. His writing were warmly welcomed and he became rich and famous when he was under thirty.But by the late, he came out of social struggle, in order to meet the publish

4、ers to meet the individual needs and also wrote a lot of material comforts shoddy work. In 1916 Jack London just like Martin Eden in his masterpiece, who is the hero in his novel, and finally killed himself in the spirit of the great emptiness and despair of suicide. 野性的呼唤野性的呼唤&1903&Buck&

8、 Buck leads a comfortable life as the pet of Judge Miller in the Valley of Northern California. Judge Millers gardeners assistant abducts(诱诱拐)拐) the dog and sells him to a trainer of sled dogs, which were in great demand due to the discovery of a yellow metal in the frozen lands . Slowly introduced

9、to the brutality(残酷)(残酷) of his new life, Buck is forced to survive and adapt to conditions in Alaska . He works pulling sleds(雪橇)(雪橇) with other dogs, learns to steal food, and engages in power struggle with other dogs for the lead position in the sled team. His owners soon learn that even though h

10、is enemy(仇敌)(仇敌), Spitz, is a devil, Buck is two devils. He becomes the leader of the sled team after defeating Spitz in a battle. He changes hands many times before he is eventually acquired by a kind and loving owner, John Thornton. When Thornton is killed by native Americans, Buck goes into a bea

11、stly rage(极其愤怒)(极其愤怒) and kills several members of the native tribe. Buck returns to the wild and becomes the alpha male of a wolf pack he met a few days before the death of Thornton. 12、f dream that Buck enters, when he becomes something of a legend. Though short, it is really a thrilling story. What you never forget is the tough life in the nature, the brave and crafty dog. Maybe the wild is calling you to go ahead.main plots it is a story about a dog, Buck, it vividly depicts the

13、 life in the primitive North where people rushed for gold and fortune.Buck, used to belong to a judge, was kidnapped and sold to North. Then he became a member of a dog-team pulling a sled (雪橇). In the days of pulling a snow-sled, he learned to conform to the law of nature and obey the master. Final

14、ly, he found a basic instinct hidden inside him, which enabled himself to survive the tough environment. 4. My opinion of this book &I like Buck, his love, loyalty for Thornton, their relation is friendship. In modern society ,many people are enthusiastically talking about how to build up “special relations” to the authority, deceiving and lying to each other. To them life is a mask-wearing process rather than a hard work. They are selfish, negative narrow-minded and revolting and so on.&we need to look back a
