Student analysis: the students in Grade 6 already knew many words and sentences; they are interested in learning English; they like taking part in t

3、he activities in the class. However, they can not use the important words and sentences skillfully. Thats why the teacher should point out the important points and difficult points and give them enough time to practice them. . Teaching procedures1. Preparation: show them pictures of Guinness World R

4、ecord. Set a situation of the Guinness Class Record. 2. Presentation: (1)ask them questions “What can you do in a minute?” Let them answer according to the pictures which show the action of eating eggs. (2)then ask them “How many eggs can you eat in a minute?” Let the students answer using the sente

5、nces form “I can eat eggs in a minute”. Play the video of the Guinness World Record holder; let them guess “How many eggs can he eat in a minute?” While listening, let them pay attention to the hostess order words “Ready? Go!” “Stop!” .(3)ask the students “What else can you do in a minute?” Let them

6、 answer the question “rope skipping” according to the picture. Then ask them “How many times can you skip in a minute?” When their answered, play the video of Guinness World Record, let them guess “How many times can she skip in a minute?”(4)show them another picture of clapping your hands, let them

7、 answer the question “What can you do in a minute?” Then ask them “How many times can you clap your hands in a minute?” When they answered, play the video of Guinness World Record. Show them answer “He can clap his hands 800 times in a minute.” At the same time, emphasizing the word “your” and “his”
