1、Module 12 Summer in LA一、教材内容分析本模块以描述夏季课程为话题，把重点放在对课程活动的介绍上。要求学生通过学习掌握英语 学习的方法，提高英语学习能力，了解中国与英国/美国在日常生活中的传统差异；这一话题贴近学生的生活，学生对新颖和与自己日常生活不一样的东西非常感兴趣。教学中应结合学生的实际情况，合理设置课时，适当进行拓展，以丰富学生知识；拓展学生视野，教会学生尊重文化差异，积 极探究英、美国家传统生活的特点，提高学生实际运用能力。二.学情分析对于九年级的学生来说，部分学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础，掌握了一点英、美国家日常生活中的不同传统特点，但总体上来说，还比较少。夏

2、季课程安排与学生的生活紧密相连，也是他们很感兴趣的话题，如有机会，他们也很想出国亲身体验一些英国/美国与中国不同的旅游胜地、风土人情和传统生活。基于现实生活，只能引导学生在课堂上发挥丰富的想象力，把课堂模拟成生 活，置身于英语学习中，提高语言交际能力。但大部分学生对于西方国家的旅游胜地、风土人情和 传统生活所知甚少，因而词汇量和信息量可能会偏大，加之学生英语成绩的分化比较严重，所以要求学生能课前认真做好预习，借助网络和书籍，了解中英/美传统生活的特点和差异，培养自学能力；教师在预设的任务中，注意引导学生在交际中动态生成，学生有话可说，乐于合作分享。这样 就有利于他们更好的运用课本知识，达到提高

3、综合运用语言能力的目的。三.教学目标1、语言技能目标听：能通过简单记录的方式抓住听力材料中的细节信息；能听懂对夏季课程介绍的陈述，提高学生实际运用能力。说：能正确说出课程活动安排；能够结合图片、多媒体等手段，谈论夏季课程计划，介绍中西方国家传统生活的一些特点和差异。读：能读懂介绍洛杉矶夏季英语课程安排的文章；能抓住文章的主题和细节信息。进行简单的 阅读技能训练。写：能根据自己的情况写出夏季课程安排的计划。表达与演示：能向同学介绍你的夏季课程计 戈上2、语言知识目标功能：围绕中英/美文化差异谈论衣物、课程，描述夏季课程计划。词汇与日常用语：(1)能够正确使用下列单词：accommodation,
