10、原 形词尾加一ed。其规则如下：(1) 一般情况在动词尾加 一ed。例如:workworked,wantwan ted(2)以不发音的e结尾的动词，直接加一d。例如：livelived, hopehoped(3)以 辅音字母+y结尾的动词，变y为I再加一ed。例如：studystudied, crycried(4)以重读闭音节一个辅音字母结尾的动词，双写词尾的辅音字母再加一ed。例如：stopstopped, begbegged.(5)词尾听加的一ed的发音，有以下几种情况：a.以元音或浊辅音结尾的动词。加 一ed后，一ed发音浊辅音d。b.以清辅音结尾的动词，加 一ed后，一ed发清辅音t。

11、c.以td结尾的动词，加一ed后，一ed发id，与结尾的t、d相拼，读作tid或did.l2. 一般过去时由动词的过去式表示，动词be有was, were两个过去式，was用于第一、三人称单数，were用于其他人称。在构成否定及疑问句 时，一般都借助助动词did，动词be有其独特的疑问及否定形式(基本上和一 般现在时一致)。这个时态的三种结构可表示如下：(1)肯定句l/You/He/She/They worked there.I/He/She was there.
