This lesson is the second section of Unit 3.So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to makethe Ss be familiar with comparative forms of adject
3、ives and adverbs.3). Such a topic is popular in daily life, so it is easy to raise learning interests of students and it will bealso helpful to improve their spoken English.2. ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTSThe Ss has learned English for over a year so far. They can understand some words and some simplesen
4、tences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now.3. TEACHING AIMS AND DEMANDSThe teaching aim is established in terms of further utilization of adjectives and adverbs.1)Knowledge objectsa. To make the Ss know how to use the original forms of adjective“My friend is really outgoing.”andthe co
5、mparative forms“My friend is more outgoing than me.”Some meaningful expressions aboutfriendship such as“Friend is like a mirror.”b. To study the new words“mirror, kid,saying,grade”, etc. by learning the dialogue of this lesson.c. To finish some exercises.2) Ability objectsa. To develop the Ssabiliti

Audio-visual teaching method3.“Task-based”teaching methodAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivatestudentsabilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language.So in this le
10、sson Ill mainly use“Communicative”teaching method,“Audio-visual”teaching methodand“Task-based”teaching method. Namely, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of the keystructure of the dialogue. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange four kinds of activities: enjoying music,listening, discussi
11、ng, and having a competition.Part Three STUDYING WAYS1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.2.Let the Ss pass ObservationImitationPractice to study language.3.Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.Teaching special features:Let the Ss communicate with
12、each other and adopt competition methods to develop the Sskeen interestin English.Part Four Teaching ProcedureIll finish this lesson in five steps. For the coverage from listening to reading, Ill consolidate theseveral parts instead of following suit.Step 1 warming-up1. Play an English song“Friend”f
13、or Ss to relax and raise their interests of todays topic. The lyrics willbe presented for them both in Chinese and EnglishStep 2 ListeningListen in 1c,1d and 2b, in which 2b will see some task-based questions for Ssbetter understanding of thepassage.Step 3 DiscussingMeditate something about the key elements in true friendship in terms of the song played today, 1a, 1b,1c and the passage in 2b.List the above-mentioned good qualities.Step 4 PresentationThis course is of great importance. I will focus on this step covering 2a and 2b.Build the mind-map for Ss by showing them some charts I made
