5、ore about animals, plants and human beings. First of all, I will teach you the new words in this period. Please read after me. (Deal with the new words with the whole class. )T: Before we read the passage, please discuss the questions on the screen with your partner. This can help you understand the
6、 passage easily. (Show the following on the screen. )1. How do plants and animals live together? 2. What do human beings need to survive? 3. What do plants and animals need to survive? 4. What do animals do to survive in places where it is very hot or cold, where there isnt much water, or where it i
7、s difficult to find food? (Students discuss for about five minutes. Then the teacher asks some students to say their answers. Different opinions are possible. )Suggested answers: 1. Plants and animals cant be separated. The things a plant or an animal throws away will become food for another. They c

Why do animals and plants become endangered? 2. A species can become endangered when its habitat is changed or destroyed. Can

12、. First, they cant adapt to the changed habitats nor find new ones. Second, a new species is too strong or uses too much of the resources in the habitat. Third, humans or other animals use too much of a plant or kill too many animals. 2. Cutting too many trees; polluting rivers, seas or lands. 3. We
13、 should plant more trees, stop polluting the environment and stop killing animals and cutting trees. FStep .
