The heaters also receive condensate from the
6、 M.S.R. live/bled steam drain receivers, The steam is condensed by feedwater passing through the heater tubes and is drained from the heater shells in a controlled manner. The system is identical on each bank of the HP heaters. The drains flow from the HP heaters throughair-operated drain control va
7、lves which maintain the level in the heaters at a fixed set point. The valves are regulated by KIC controllers connected to level transmitters fitted on the heater shells.Normal heater drainage is as follows:From HP heater No. 7 to HP heater No. 6.From HP heater No. 6 to deaerator (controlled).In th
8、e event that the normal drain valves are unable to cope with excess drain flow, the level in the heater rises until it comes within the influence of an emergencyhigh-level control system similar to the normal level control. The excess drains from HP7 and HP6 heaters are directed to the condenser by
9、air-operated control valves which are regulated by separate KIC controllers. These high-level controllers receive signals from separate level transmitters on the heater shells, and have a level set-point which is 200mm higher than the normal level set point.In the HP7 heaters, operation of the high
10、level control valves caused by excess flow indicates possible heater tube leakage, and an alarm "DRAIN FLOW HI" valve limit switches. This is also the case for HP6 heaters above 40% load. The pressure in HP6 heaters is insufficient to overcome the combined effect of the deaerator pressure
11、plus the head of water up to the deaerator. The level rises even though the flow is not excessive. The high level control valves therefore direct the flow to the condenser, but the valve operation alarm suppressed by a pressure switch which senses when HP6 heater pressure is insufficient.The level t
12、ransmitters are of displacement type (LVDT) to produce a 4-20mA signal. This acts controllers to regulate the valves as required, maintaining the water level above the drain cooling zone of the heaters. If any of the controllers should malfunction, control of the relevant valves may be carried out u

14、rator of possible tube leaks.(ii) Alarm and Opening of emergency high level drain control valves to condenser on high- high water level.(iii) Alarm and Isolation of the affected heater bank (A or B) on high-3 water level. (iv)Double verification that level has returned to normal before heater bled s
15、team and feedwater supplies are reinstated.(v) Alarm on low water level, to alert the operator of possible steam entrainment within the drain cooling zone.(vi) Duplication also permits the level switches to be tested on-load. The automatic action on rising and falling water levels is detailed below:

30、ting control (Hi level drains).Note, last 2 actions apply prodded AHP201/202VL are both fully open.6.1.2.3 Level Switch On-Load TestingDuplicate level switch mounting columns are provided on all heaters in order that the heater tripping switches may be tested with the unit on load. This is achieved
31、by temporarily disconnecting a column of level switches from the various control circuits, then simulating a high or low level in that column.Local On-Load Test Boxes are provided (typical reference is AHP001BM); each box has a 3-way selector switch marked "TEST COL.A-NORMAL -TEST COL.B".I
32、n the normal position, the level switches adescribed in 6.1.2.1 and 6.1.2.2.When the selector is turned to TEST COL.A an alarm alerts the CCR operator thatabeing carried out. In this position, the level switches in Column A areinactive. However security is still maintained by the switches in Column
33、B. The top isolating valve connecting Column A to the heater is closed; the entrapped steam in the Column will cool and condense, creating a zone of reduced pressure. Pressure within the heater forces more water into the column (this may be observed by using the column sight glass). When the level r
34、ises above the high level switches, lamps on the Test Box illuminate, confirming the integrity of the switches. The box also has a test button to check the lamps.The low level switch in column A may be checked by lowering the water level below the switch; this is achieved by closing the bottom colum
35、n isolating valve and opening the drain. A separate lamp will illuminate to check this switch. The procedure may then be repeated in a similar manner for Column B.6.1.2.4 Level AlarmsIndividual computer alarms are initiated for each heater as described in sections6.1.2.1 and 6.1.2.3. This enables the operator to determine on which heater the fault or test occurs.6.1.3HP Heater Fe
37、ed water Isolation and Bypass (Pressure Equalizing) Valves AHP101-102-112VL (Bank A)AHP201-202-212VL (Bank B)These valves have electric motorised actuator switch controls as follows:- On the actuator:Selector switch for LOCAL-STOP-REMOTE:Selector switch for OPEN-NEUTRAL-CLOSENOTE: Equalizing valves
38、112/212VL are sequentially linked with operation of outlet valves.Normal operation where required Is REMOTE, i.e. from CCR. Heater Bank 'A' valves are interlocked with sequential operation as follows:(Bank B is similar)When outlet valve 102VL receives the KIC command to OPEN, equalizing valv
39、e 112VL opens fully, then 102VL opens fully, and then 112VL closes. Provided 102VL is fully open, inlet valve 101VL may be opened by KIC 101VL controller on the KIC. The three valves close automatically on HI 3 level in No. 6A or 7A heater.If either 101VL or 102VL are not fully open, then (i)Heater
40、bypass valve 009VL&119VL opens.(ii) Bled steam valves 101VV and 103VV will be prevented from opening.(iii) Close MSR BS and LS drains to heaters.On restoration of normal level in the affected heater, it is an operator's action to reopen the isolation valves 101-102VL. Similar actions occur o
41、n 'B' bank valves (200 series numbers).6.1.4 HP Heaters Feed water Bypass Isolation Valve AHP009VL&019VLThis valve has an electric motorised actuator with controls as follows:- On the actuator: Selector switch for LOCAL-STOP-REMOTE: Selector switch for OPEN-NEUTRAL-CLOSENormal operation
42、where required is REMOTE, i.e. from CCR. In the latter case, i
43、f the bypass valve fails to open after a time delay (specified later) then a computer alarm "HP HTRS BYP. NOT OPEN" is initiated. To cater for the motorised bypass failing to open a spring loaded bypass valve AHP008VL is provided. It is an operator action to close the valve after restorati
44、on of normal heater levels, and after all F.W. isolation valves have been opened. The F.W. Isolation valves are normally left open, and the bypass valve is left closed, at all times - even when the unit is shut down.6.1.5 HP Heaters 6 & 7 Bled Steam Isolation Valves AHP 101-103-201-203VVThese va
45、lves have electric motorised actuators with controls as follows: On the actuator: Selector switch for LOCAL-STOP-REMOTE: Selector switch for OPEN-NEUTRAL-CLOSENormal operation where required is from the CCR. The valves are normally left open at all times, even during shutdown, unless the shutdown is
46、 for extended periods (e.g. for maintenance). They close automatically in the case of turbine trip, or HI 3 water level of either heater in an affected bank. Sections 6.1.2.1 and 6.1.2.2 give details of which valve operates. The valves are also prevented from opening if either F.W. isolating valve o
47、n the same bank is not fully open. It is an operator action to reopen the valves when the closing signal has been removed. Note that the valves should be reopened gradually after a heater trip using the KIC controller on the KIC, In order that the heaters are not subjected to undue thermal shock. Th
48、e operator can monitor the bled steam valve positions on the KIC.6.1.6 HP Heaters 6 & 7 Bled Steam Non-Return Valves GPV0651VV: High heater 6 bled steam N.R.V. GPV0751VV: High heater 7 bled steam N.R.V. Detailed refer to GPV system manual chapter 6All valves are also force-close on receipt of a
49、closing signal initiated by a TURBINE TRIP, or HI 3 LEVEL in any HP heater. The heater high level closing signal of GPV0651VV &0751VV are released when the down stream bled steam isolating valves of the disturbed heater bank have closed or the affected heater water level has returned to below le
50、vel 3 in response to the disturbance.6.1.7 HP Heaters Normal Level Control Valves AHP117-119-217-219VL HP Heaters High Level Control Valves AHP118-120-218-220VLThese valves are used to control water level in the HP heaters as described in section 6.1.1, Level is normally kept constant by the Normal
51、Level Control Valves, which will close on failure of air supplies. Drains from No. 7 heaters drain In No. 6 heaters via No. 6 drain receivers, and drains from No. 6 heaters drain to the deaerator. If the normal drains are inadequate, the level in the heaters will rise, and7/48IssueABCDEFGDate2012.03

The high level valves are also fitted with a solenoid in the air pipe work, which will energize in response to a signal from a HI HI level sw
53、itch on the heaters, and open the valve fully (refer to 6.1.2.1 and 6.1.2.2 for details). The high level valves fail open on loss of air supplies. All control valves are fitted with hand wheels to enable manual operation in the event of air failure.Above 40% load, pressure in No. 6 heaters is Insuff
54、icient to push the drains up to the deaerator, and the high level valves operate to send the flow to the condenser. In the event of controller failure, it is possible to operate the valves with hand wheel. The table which follows gives a summary of the control valves, together with references of cor
